Chapter Seventeen: The Promotion

*Y/n's Pov*

"Well well well, isn't that Y/n Y/l/n?" Sarah laughed.

"What are you doing back in Australia?"

"Simple really. Korea got boring, and so I came back."

"Or...Do you have a problem with having me back in Sydney?" Sarah asked, tilting her head.

"No, Of course not!" Y/n replied.

"Y/n, that customer is still waiting for his coffee!!" Jae told me...

"Yeah yeah, give it to me" I replied.

Jae gave me the drink, as I walked over to the table Chan or Chris was sitting at.

"Ooo, is that my drink?" He asked.

"Yeah. Thank you for coming to Dal. Komm coffee, please come again. Also, enjoy it!" I smiled at him giving him his drink.

"Hehe, thanks...Y/n" Chan smiled at me while looking at my name tag.

I just gave him a smile before walking back to the counter.

"Well, you're back," Sarah said.

"Yep. Anyways, what would you like to have?"

"What do you recommend?"

"I honestly like grapefruit juice."

"Well then. I'll get that"

"Alright then, one grapefruit juice...Anything else?"

"Just one red velvet cheesecake please"

"Alright then. That would be 25 dollars please"

"Here you go. I'll be sitting at that table...Keep the change"

Then Sarah walked away.

Why is she back?

What does she want?

"Y/N! FELIX! COME HERE NOW!" Mr. Song shouted.

"Yes, Sir?" I asked.

"Why have I just gotten a request for more coffee beans?"

"Um..." I didn't know what to say.

"Sir, it was me. I accidentally knocked down the bags. I'm so sorry." Felix said.

"No, Felix, Y/n is responsible for this. She's also you're mentor, so Y/n has to take the fall." Mr. Song replied.

"But Sir, it's my fault," Felix argued,

"Felix, for the love of potatoes, please. Just let me do my job!" Mr. Song exclaimed completely annoyed.

"But sir, if you're doing your job, then you should know that the one that should be responsible is me," Felix said.

I was hearing Felix trying to convince Mr. Song that it was his fault, and it was Felix's fault...But it was cute seeing him all frustrated trying to get Mr. Song to believe him.

"Sir...It's my fault. I dropped those bags while stacking them up in the storage room." I said.

Felix immediately looked at me, stunned. His eyes were wide and his eyes were full of worry.

"Well, thank you for stepping up Y/n." Mr. Song replied.

"Please come to my office once your shift is over. See you later then. "

And with that Mr song walked away. Once we heard the door to his office close, and I sighed in relief.

"Y/n...Why the heck would you do that?!" Felix exclaimed. "You could get fired for all we know" he continued.

"I did that because I didn't want you to get fired. You just started to work here. And besides, if Mr. Song fires me you have Jae to teach you everything" I replied.

"But I don't want you to get fired..." Felix mumbled.

"And I don't want you, to get fired. "

"Okay, this is really sweet...But can I remind you, that we're still working?" Jae said.

"Oh right! Sorry." I said.

"Felix! Send this drink over to table 5." Jae said.

"Okay..." Felix hummed.

Felix walked over to the table Sarah was sitting at, and I could see her immediately neaten her hair, seeing Felix approaching her table.

I could see everything;

Not to mention, I could hear everything too.

"Ma'am, here's your grapefruit juice. Enjoy" Felix said.

"Oh wow, thank you...Felix" Sarah replied to Felix is her trying too hard to flirt voice.

Finally! My shift was over.

Then it struck me, I have a meeting with Mr. Song...

As I walked over to Mr. Song's office, I knocked on the door and heard a subtle 'come in.

I pushed the door open, and Mr. Song was seated behind his desk, typing on his laptop.

"Ah, Y/n. Have a seat" he said.

Walking towards his desk, I pulled the chair out and sat down.

"So...You wanted to see me," I said.

"Yes, I did.."

"So about the coffee bean incident, it was Felix's fault, wasn't it?"

"...Yes, sir, it was Felix's fault. But please don't fire him"

"I won't fire him, neither will I fire you. This incident happened to me when I first worked at Dal. Komm actually.

I was just worked up, and annoyed. I apologize about earlier on." Mr. Song apologized.

"But...I want to promote you." Mr. Song said.

"I want to promote you and move you over to work in the big Dal. Komm coffee, office."

"WHAT?!"
