The Male Slayer

The Slayer

Manhattan at night was not a fun place to be. Not only were the thugs and criminals out, but so were the vampires. I walk down the street to an alleyway, looking for any vampires.  I continue walking for a while until my radio goes off, scaring the absolute shit out of me. You see, I'm the first male slayer that has existed, or so I'm told. My watcher Rupert Giles, went to England to see the watchers council, a group of people descended from the people who made the first slayer. When he said he needed to stay and sort things out, I thought it was a great opportunity to take a break from Sunnydale.  But the problem is that New York is full of vampires. It's pretty easy to target them though, since most of the big criminals are usually vampires. But when I take out out the vampires, or "criminals" as people say because they don't know vampires exist, people like Nick Fury and the Avengers get suspicious. That's why I've been trying to keep a low profile and take out the vampires quickly, quietly, and easily. But if there's one thing you should know about dealing with the supernatural, is that nothing is quick, nothing is quiet, and nothing is easy. I turn on my radio, which I may or may not have hacked, and I listen. "Director Fury, this is Barton, over." "Fury here, what's the situation?" "We were tracking the suspect, when a group of what appeared to be normal people showed up. We got a closer look, and there was something wrong with their faces. They also had fangs. Fury I don't-". "Clint, I'm sending out a radio signal. I think there is someone who can help. Just stay hidden." "Hey Fury, it's Kace Anderson. I was kinda tuned in to the radio signal, and I heard everything. Where are they?" I ask. "East 14th street. Listen Kace, we need to talk." "Later, first I need to help him." I say making my way there.

I know it was a short chapter, but I just wanted to introduce the characters and get things going.
