"Come on honey just one more push" the nurse encouraged and Serena let a scream escape her.
"I can't do this" she screamed and the nurse smiled.
"Congratulations! It's a baby girl" a doctor said holding the tiny baby in his arms. Serena held Olivia for the first time and started to cry, of both joy and sorrow.
"Please I can't , I just... just take her away" she said and a nurse came and took little Olivia to the nursery for a check up. The young nurse was talking to a coworker and was shocked by Serena's reaction to Olivia.
"She just couldn't look at her I've never seen anything like it" she gasped.
"There could be a reason like a bad relationship, rape and you never know" her colleague replied and she nodded but still was in shock. She dressed Olivia before taking her to a cot.
"You're so adorable I don't see how anyone couldn't love you" she whispered laying Olivia down gently. She carried on with her duties but the reaction just kept playing over and over in her mind.
"Clara!" a doctor yelled bringing the young nurse out of her trance.
"Yeah?" she asked and the doctor told her to get Olivia and bring her to Serena. She walked to the nursery and collected Olivia. "C'mon sweetie let's take you to go see your mommy" she said softly taking Olivia to room 202. Serena held her daughter close before putting her in the car seat and leaving the hospital, not looking back.
