Chapter 60

Shai gasped as she struggled to get rid of the monster within her. She trembled in fear as she looked at herself in the mirror
"G-get out of my god damn head!" Shai shouted
"Why should I? Don't you want to kill all of those bastards?" Shiz asked
"No I don't...you can't make me!" Shai shouted
"Hahahaha! Am I really this pathetic?" Shiz asked and giggled. Shai just glared at the person and growled
"No...this is wrong! All of this is wrong!" Shai shouted
"Wrong? Killing other people is wrong? Shai Okogi...don't you remember all those times where you were hurt? Doesn't that bother you?" Shiz asked
"It does but...it's all in the past. There is no need to remember the past...besides you can't change the past" Shai said. Suddenly the lights flickered in the building and everyone screeched. Shai's eyes widen and felt someone grab her then threw her down
"Ugh!" Shai groaned and coughed feeling someone kick her stomach
"Sh-shit!" Shai exclaimed and stood up. Her eyes widen as she saw a pair of dark purple eyes
Wait! I know a person with those eyes!
"H-himeko!?" Shai exclaimed and ducked down sensing her power. She pushed the door open and escaped but of course bumped into a wall. She shook her head and started running away
"Himeko! Himeko!" Shai shouted
"Shai!" Himeko shouted. Shai's eyes widen and ran to her voice
I must get there! I have to protect her!
Shai passed by a couple of people who were panicking then gasped seeing a pair of dark purple eyes
"Himeko!" Shai shouted as she ran up to her
"Sh-shai? Where are you?" Himeko asked. She ducked down as she sensed someone behind her. Shai came by pushing the person and grabbed Himeko
"Sh-shai is that you?" Himeko asked
"Yes! Now run!" Shai said
"Hey hey what's the rush?" Shiz asked. Shai just stopped and held Himeko
"Sh-shai?" Himeko asked
"Just stay calm...and let me deal with this" Shai said
"But you can't fight alone..." Himeko said
"I can okay? I'll be fine but we have to get these people out of the building..." Shai said
"And how can we do that?" Himeko asked
"Heh...we'll figure something out" Shai said. She kept looking at the glowing eyes and trembled slightly but tried to stay calm
If I remember correctly...she said that she was me in the past. Then that must mean...the other person is Himeko's past
"I'll distract them while you try to guide the others back..." Shai said
"B-but Shai-"
"Run!" Shai said as she ran up to the the people in front. Himeko trembled but then started running away. Shiz smirked in the dark and looked at her partner giving her the signal. Shai's eyes widen not seeing the pair of purple eyes
W-wait! Where the hell did she-
"Gaaah!" Shai yelled in pain and fell back
"Please don't ruin my fun with that nonsense. Protecting people and shit like that...hehehe...pathetic" Shiz said and raised her weapon as she was about to stab Shai but she rolled over dodging it. Shai stood back up and growled as her eyes glowed using her powers
"I'm not...going to let you hurt them. These people...don't...they don't deserve to die. They are innocent people who have families..." Shai said
"And why should I care about their family? More importantly...why should you care about them or their families? You lost your father because of that man. You slept and ended up with the woman who sexually harassed you. Your grandmother and mother both got killed by that same man who killed-"
"Shut up! It wasn't Damon's fault they died! Besides...my very own grandmother killed them. She was the one responsible for their deaths" Shai said
"And what did you do about it?" Shiz asked. Shai just looked down and trembled
"That's right...you killed her and your cousins. It felt nice didn't it? I know it did. I know how you felt inside when you saw them on floor bleeding..." Shiz said. Shai clenched her fists tightly and growled furiously
"SHUT UP!" Shai shouted as she ran up to her then attacked. Shiz backed up then lifted her leg as she kicked Shai. Shai grabbed her leg then lifted her up and threw her to the ground. Shiz just growled and got back up to her feet. She held out her weapon and ran up to Shai. Shai tried to sense where she was going to attack and dodged her attack
Shit! This is hard! Trying to sense and dodge at the same time! I need the lights back on!
Shai's eyes widen as she felt a scratch on her arm
"Ugghh!" Shai groaned and held her arm. She gasped then tripped over something making her fall back. Shiz took the opportunity and stabbed her arm
"Gaaaah!" Shai yelled in pain but grabbed Shiz hitting her head with hers hard. Shiz let go of her weapon and Shai grabbed it. She stood up breathing a bit heavily and clenched the weapon tightly
"Come on now Shai...are you really going to protect these people? For what? You still look like papa...this won't change anything" Shiz said. Shai just teared up and growled
"It doesn't matter anymore...I will protect these people from you! I won't let them get killed!" Shai shouted. Meanehile Himeko ended up finding Maruta in the dark
"Maruta! We have to go to the stairs!" Himeko said
"Where is it? It's still hard to see with these candles" Maruta said. Himeko looked around and gasped seeing a door that lead to the stairs
"Over here!" Himeko said and guided a few people to the stairs. Maruta followed her and they tried to collect people and help them out rescuing them from their rooms
"Please help us out! These people are stuck in the elevator!" Someone shouted
"Maruta you go and help the others out! I'll help them out!" Himeko said
"Okay! Be careful!" Maruta said as she left with the small crowd of people. Himeko ran over to the elevator and looked around trying to find a way to help the people out
"Please save us!"
"Help!"
Himeko just panicked slightly and tried to look for someway to help
What can I do?! I need to think of something! Quick!
"Why help them?" Someone asked. Himeko's eyes widen and turned around but saw no one
Wait...no...stop!
"Himeko Momokino isn't it? Hehe...pathetic little bitch" Hime whispered and kicked her. Himeko fell and groaned a bit. She looked up seeing dark purple eyes
"Who the hell are you?" Himeko asked
"All you have to know is that I'm you..." Hime giggled and grabbed Himeko throwing her against the wall. Himeko groaned and fell to the floor. She shook her head and felt the woman grab her by the hair then kicked her across her face
"Hahaha! What a pathetic little bitch!" Hime laughed. Himeko coughed and tackled the person
"Shut up!" Himeko said and struggled to fight the bitch. Hime growled and kicked her off of her. Himeko groaned and gasped as Hime ran up to her. Himeko moved the other way dodging her attack. She saw how she broke the door down which gave her an idea
"Hey! You little crazy bitch! Come and get me you slut!" Himeko shouted
"Hahahaha! What's with the name calling? Feeling confident that you can defeat me? Hahahaha! You're dead wrong!" Hime shouted as her eyes glowed then ran up to her. Himeko ran over to the elevator and stayed still for a moment.
And...now!
Himeko moved out the way as Hime attacked the elevator breaking the doors
"Run! Quickly! Follow me!" Himeko shouted as she guided a few people to the stairs. Maruta came in and helped the people
"Huh? Himeko you aren't coming?" Maruta asked
"I have to deal with something. Just get the others out immediately" Himeko said and ran back to the elevator where she tried to look for the woman. She gasped seeing she was gone. She ducked down sensing her from behind then started running down the hall
Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! How can I get rid of this bitch?!
Himeko's eyes widen hearing Shai's shouts
Shai! I need to get back to her!
"Sh-shai!" Himeko shouted and ran to the stairs trying to get to Shai
"Shai! Shai!" Himeko shouted
"You slut! Come back!" Hime growled still chasing after her. Himeko tripped down the stairs but kept standing back up. She got to a hallway where Shai ended up getting knocked down
"Ugh...H-himeko..." Shai groaned and coughed out blood
"Shai!" Himeko exclaimed and ran up to her. Shai stood up and held her
"You have to get out" Shai said
"N-no! I'm not leaving you!" Himeko said. Suddenly Shai pulled Himeko closely as she helped her dodge their attack
Shit! They're fast! There has to be a way to finish them!
"Himeko! Shai!" Maruta said calling them as she held out the candle trying to look for them. Shai just looked at the candle and thought for a moment
I must burn them...

Mei groaned and slowly woke up since she passed out from the attack. She sat up and coughed blood. She looked beside her seeing Midnignt trying to heal from the wound
"M-midnight...come on. We have to get to Yuzu" Mei said as she stood up wiping the blood off her mouth. Suddenly the same person ran up to her then attacked her with extreme power knocking her back. Mei groaned and coughed blood
"We meet again...daughter" Alyssa said. Mei's eyes widen and growled furiously
"Y-you again?!" Mei exclaimed
"Awww did you miss me?" Alyssa asked. Mei stood up and growled at her mother like a wild dog
"Why the hell are you doing this?! What's the reason for this?!" Mei exclaimed
"Reason? Hehe there is no reason. It's just entertaining for me to watch you suffer. So how are you?" Alyssa asked and laughed. Mei just glared at her and clenched her fists tightly
"You fucking bitch!" Mei shouted as she ran up to her. Midnight jumped up to her turning into a shadow then wrapped itself around Mei. Mei's eyes glowed activating her scythe. She raised her weapon and attacked her mother. Alyssa blocked her attack then punched her. Mei stayed on her feet then slammed her weapon on the ground creating a huge aura. She growled and ran up to her mother again
"Why so angry? Is this all because of the Okogi? Did she leave you for someone else? I hope she did...because you don't deserve to be loved at all" Alyssa said and dodged her attack
"This...this is all your fault! I fucking hate you! Die already!" Mei shouted and swinged an attack at her mother. Alyssa blocked her attack then grabbed her wrist. Mei growled and lifted her leg kicking her stomach
"I see that you've grown so much. Everytime you saw me you would tremble in fear and cry...hehe are you still the little weak crybaby?" Alyssa asked and threw Mei to the ground. Mei groaned and growled as Midnight activated her powers. Mei's scythe glowed and she swinged an attack at her mother. Alyssa blocked her attack and her eyes glowed as she activated her powers. She teleported behind Mei and attacked her. Mei just panted heavily and looked up at her mother. Alyssa ran up to her using the opportunity to attack her
"All you ever were was a pathetic little girl. A girl who was capable of doing nothing. You're just a worthless piece of shit with no purpose in life. Why keep living? You deserve to suffer and die..." Alyssa said and attacked her with her full power. A huge explosion attacked Mei and smoke came from the attack. Alyssa panted heavily and gasped seeing Mei uninjured. Mei glared at her and clenched her weapon tightly
"I'm not the same girl as I was back then. I'm not afraid of you. I am going to defeat you and be with Yuzu. No one is going to stop me! I will get rid of you and protect Yuzu with my life!" Mei shouted as she ran up to her. Alyssa ran up to her then blocked her attack. She tried grabbing Mei but Mei backed up then teleported behind her. Alyssa turned around earning an attack from Mei
"You will pay for everything you've done to me and grandmother! Grandmother never deserved to die like that! She was the best person ever! She protected me and cared for me! She was the reason why I kept going! I wanted to protect her...I wanted to escape...but all of you...bastards..." Mei paused and teared up
"Aww is the little girl going to cry? Do you need Kumagoro to protect you?" Alyssa asked as she laughed. Mei looked down and trembled. Fear started to take over her and clenched her weapon tightly
"Don't give up! Not now!" A little girl shouted. Mei's eyes widen seeing her younger side
"Wh-what?" Mei asked
"You can do it! Beat that terrible woman! You promised to stay strong and brave for grandmother remember? Don't give up! You can defeat her!" The little girl shouted
Mei growled and raised her scythe attacking her mother with everything she got. Alyssa blocked her attack but gasped as Mei appeared in front of her kicking her down. Mei grabbed her and slammed her body on the ground
"I am not a worthless piece of shit! I never was! I am strong and brave! I'm not that little girl anymore! I am a strong Aihara! SO COME AT ME WITH ALL YOU'VE GOT!" Mei shouted. Alyssa wiped her mouth and looked at Mei
Heh...so she has truly grown. Hehe...we'll see about that
