It was your first day officially being apart of the scouts. The end of a really long day of cleaning up the castle where your squad was staying from now on passed by really slow. Night finally came around and all you wanted to do was just go to sleep. Get a good night's rest for the next day which was full of training for your first expedition. You plopped down on your bed, relaxing your sore muscles and allowing yourself to drift off into a deep slumber.

        You woke up to loud bangs coming from the floor below you, which you knew was the cellar. You groaned and looked out the window next to your tiny bed to see it wasn't even close to being sunrise yet. You rolled your eyes and turned back on your side, plugging your ears to try to block out the extremely loud banging.

        For the first few minutes you tried to ignore it and go back to sleep but you couldn't, the sound was way to loud to ignore or block out. It sounded like someone was throwing around stuff in the cellar, banging things off the walls and floors. You wanted to go see what it was or who it was but you also knew that if you were caught out of your dorm at this hour, you'd be in big shit.

        Although, these noises were way too loud for you to handle and, it's not like your superiors could hear them either because their dorms were much higher up than yours was. So technically, you wouldn't get caught unless it was by chance.

        Almost a half hour passed. At this point, you knew you had to take matter into your own hands in order for this to stop. There was no way in hell you could fall back asleep to these head pounding bangs. You forced yourself out of your bed, you slipped on your very thin slippers and exited your dorm. You made your way down to the cellar in attempt to find and stop this unnecessary loud banging.

        As you went down the last staircase in this enormous castle, the noises grew louder. Beyond the loud banging you could hear faint sobs which made your heart drop. You hate hearing and seeing people cry. You grew nervous for a moment but then continued to find out where this noise was coming from.

        As you wandered, you approached the only dorm in the heart of the cellar. You knew that this is where the noise was coming from. Any human being would know that. You had to cover your ears for a minute as you heard the person beyond the door you were standing in front of, throw a fit. From the tone of the loud shouts and sobs, you could tell that it was a guy, he continued sobbing and  most likely throwing around the furniture in the dorm.

        "Monster.. I'm a fucking monster!" You heard him yell more than once, then more cringing loud bangs came afterwards, which made you flinch.

        

        There was one last enormous bang and, it was the last one. Afterwards it was just constant crying. It made your heart ache a little bit. A part of you wanted  to turn around and go back to your dorm since the loud noises were over. But another part wanted you to go in and try to comfort the wailing boy. something in your gut told you that you should go in and try to comfort him.

        You let out a nervous sigh as you raised your fist and lightly knocked on the door. You waited for a response.

        "G-Go away" The boy croaked out replying to your knocks. His reply was barley audible. I heard a couple coughs come afterwards. You weren't taking that for an answer.

        "I'm not planning on leaving any time soon, so let me in now or I'll wait here until you do" I replied stubbornly, crossing my arms across my stomach, waiting for an answer. Despite how much you hated seeing people cry, you knew that this boy needed some sort of comfort.
