So, I've noticed a lot of misinterpretations from readers and maybe a little bit of confusion too, so I want to cover a few metaphorical moments that you may or may not have missed that are important to the story.

First off, and I think this was obvious but, the entire story was a huge metaphor to the Cold War that lasted from 1947-1991. The "cold feeling" that could only go away with the USSR's death is a symbol for the end of Russia and America's cold tensions between one another as nations.

The title has two meanings. One that's literal and one that's metaphorical. I think both are kinda obvious lol.

Another thing, if you may have noticed, chapter 7 and chapter 8 were both written in first person, opposed to the rest which were written in third person. There's a reason for that.

Chapter 7: My Message was written from America's point of view and symbolized his confession (aka message) to Russia that he was in love with him and wanted to end the cold tensions between them.

Chapter 8: My Reply was written from Russia's point of view and symbolized his reply to America's "message" and how his reaction to the Cold War's end (USSR's death) stood in the way of their love.

I thought this stuff through ok- ? I want people to notice haha

Also, the season. All those "melting ice" or "flowers blooming" moments are references to the start of a new season—the start of a new friendship between the two countries. That's why it was spring during this story.

Last thing, some past events that were referenced in this book will be mentioned in my Easily Broken book which no one's going to read bc it's (USSRxTR) but that I'm still gonna have a ton of fun writing anyways.

And, yeah, that's about it you guys. Thanks again for all of your wonderful comments I got from the last chapter. They made me very happy and motivated to write more in the future, so thank you <3
