"As it seems it would be a good idea if you did but, I prefer you don't."

"Fine, that's all I needed to know."

"Make sure you go with you mother and wait till the meeting is over."

"Okay."

He turns around and leaves me standing in the hall thinking about what and why they need to talk. If their rivals or at least I thought why would they team up? I guess that's none of my business. I knock myself out of my thoughts and walk to the living room to accompany mother.

I see her sitting on the couch staring at her phone. Probably waiting for someone to text her about having lunch tomorrow.

"Hey honey, you're not staying in the meeting?"

"No, dad said to not stay. Do you know what their talking about?"

"Honestly, not really your father doesn't really like to communicate business things with me. He says all the time he doesn't want me to get hurt if someone finds out."

"Ah, I mean it makes sense but, sometimes I really wanna know what happens in that room."

"As I used to tell you when you were younger, it's better to not know something then know it and never forget it."

"Yes mother, I remember."

She just looks at me for a moment then, hears her phone go off and imminently looks at it.

"Hey honey, you wanna have lunch with Annabelle and I tomorrow?"

"Yes mother, I would love to."

As she smiles at me I already know she is texting Annabelle to let her know. I grab the remote on the coffee table, turn it on and decide to watch Master Chef. Not going to lie I love cooking but, I could never go on a show. I'm just a normal girl who learned how to cook from her mother.

"Sandra, come into the conference room."

I see my father standing right in the corner of my eye waiting for me to get up and move. But, I just sit there.

"Sandra, get up now!"

"Fine."

I stand up, I begin to feel myself shake and wonder why do I get to go. He starts walking to the room as I follow. He types in the numbers and enters.

"Take a seat."

I walk over to the only seat that is open and of course it's right beside Collin. He grins at me, that you're going to regret this smile.

"Sandra, I know you're not into what I do for a living but, sometimes we have to make sacrifices. Not only for ourselves but, for everyone involved. I also know, you're very inexperienced in fighting, and understanding how this mafia works. But, what I am trying to say is that no matter what you say this is going to happen, no complaining, arguing or asking questions."

"Come on father, spit it out!"

"You're marrying Collin."

"I'm what?"

"You are marrying Collin. You're also, taking fighting classes and learning our way of living. We are telling people publicly that you guys are together and there will be a wedding coming up."

"How can you tell me to marry someone especially someone like him? You may be my father but, you are surly not someone I have to listen to since you know i'm over 18!"

"Sandra, I told you this was final. You will be married and moving in with him in 6 months or sooner. Depending on how this all lines up. So, be proud to be a wife."
