"I do not at all understand the mystery of grace- only that it meets us where we are but does not leave us where it found us."

                                -Anne Lamott

You let out a loud groan of annoyance as you turned in your bed, face contorting in displeasure at the gentle pokes that were being delivered to your face and neck. Loud snorting and giggles filled your ears as small hands moved to rest over the soft skin of your cheeks.

You huffed out at the feeling, clearly displeased with the sudden interrupted of your much need, much desired sleep.

You had been up almost the entire night training with Hoseok.

When the young warrior finally agreed to teach you everything he knew, you were thrilled, ecstatic and over the moon. Glad to finally be able to defend yourself against any foe you may face in the future.

But, when he said that it would be the hardest ting you were going to do in your life...he certainly wasn't joking.

Your training started instantly, he dragged you out to the empty courtyard and began giving you long speeches about what it meant to be a warrior, he talked endlessly for two hours before finally beginning to teach you something.

You huffed in annoyance, blue eyes fluttering open only to be attacked by the bright beams of sunlight that poured through the paper thin walls.

Whoever woke you up was dead meat.

Your gaze was set in a hard glare as you focused them, trying to find the source of your disturbance. You were determined to find out who had just pulled you away from your beloved sleep.

But when your eyes landed upon a familiar head of curly, blond hair....

You froze.

You couldn't stop your heart from racing wildly, palms sweating as you opened and closed your hands, throat constricting as your vision clouded over with unshed tears.

Your heart broke into two pieces as you stared at the infant in front of you, memories flooding back through your mind at a neck-breaking speed, emotions encompassing your being until you felt as though you were drowning in your brokenness.

Was this some kind of sick dream? Was your mind finally cracking under the intense pressure of the wild roller coaster that was your life? God, you hoped that was the case...because you couldn't bear to leave her again.

"G-Grace."

The baby clapped her hands as the familiar sound of her name spilled from your lips, her hazel eyes sparkling with amusement as she let out a loud laugh.

You choked back a sob, hand moving to rest over your mouth as tears began to freely fall down your cheeks.

Just looking at her made you feel sick. You were happy to see her, of course you were....but she reminded you of Yoongi..
