'The gem?'

---💫---

I soon found the suspicious item and observed it. It gave off a powerful feel and I felt drained just from looking at it. There was a slight crack in the side got me curious. I gave an attempt at opening the item and found an orb. "Wonderful work, Awsten.. " A suspenseful and slightly demonic voice echoed. "Wh- Ah!" A shock of pain hit me as if it was a brick hitting my head. "The fuck?" My veins were turning gold, and much faster than before. Almost instantly, I was back in my zombie-like look. "Who the hell are you!?" I yelled. "That's not important right now... " I didn't have time to deal with his bullshit. "No, tell me who you are, you b-" "Let's be family friendly, okay?"

Did he just?

I instantly fell into a daze.

Soon Otto and Geoff came in, trying to find out what just happened. "So sad.. " The mysterious man said before disappearing with my unconscious self. "Awsten!" They both exclaimed in fear. "We have to get Awsten." Geoff said, as if he was in Riverdale. "Oh jeez... " Otto muttered.

"Where's he?" Geoff said the second he saw Jawn. "Geoff?-" "Yeah, we'll explain later," he sighed. "Anyways, where's Awsten?" "In the Hollow-" "Thanks." Geoff and Otto then just left him. "Did you really have to do that?" Otto questioned Geoff. "What?" Otto sighed, "Let's go."

- an hour later 💫 -

After a search that took way longer than needed, they finally found the Hollow. The sign in front was almost completely scratched up;the only thing that said on there was "The Hollow" and "Mysteria" in the corner with some other cryptic writing.Otto and Geoff looked over the corner of the "Hollow" to find a room filled with dead red roses and other red flowers surrounding it. Almost instantly, they found a still unconscious Awsten with what seems to be body guards. "Well he doesn't look like himself.. " Geoff mumbled, but still loud for Otto to hear. "Do you need a mirror?" He retorted. The guards heard a click, but this time only they passed out, well more like disappeared, since they were shadows. Geoff and Otto ran to Awsten as fast as they could without making too much noise. "Awsten, are you alright?" Otto asked, shaking him vigorously. Awsten woke up as if somebody put a flashlight right at his eyes and rubbed his eyes. " Who are you..?" He asked, his voice hoarse. His eyes were now completely gold, and so were the veins on his arms. Otto and Geoff looked at him, puzzled. "Awsten, stop playing, you know us! Geoff and Otto..!" Geoff tried to remind Awsten, pointing at himself and Otto. "What do you mean?" Awsten looked at the two worried with his glowing gold eyes. He looked liked he wanted to cry, but he was forced not to. "C'mon, we need to bring you home!" Geoff tried tugging Awsten to get up from the harsh ground. Oddly, his arm stretched? "What the.. " Otto questioned under his breath. "Does that hurt?" Awsten seemed to be in a daydream but looked at the two as if he felt nothing "Hm?" Otto shuttered. Geoff tried fixing it, which luckily worked. He carefully picked up Awsten and signaled Otto to follow him. "Let me go!" Awsten yelled. Otto covered his mouth and shushed him, and he fell asleep instantly. "Must be a spell.." "Yeah..." They looked over the side of the "Hollow" and there was no one there, or so they thought.
