Ichi kneeled down in front of the altar. He could smell the strong incense and joss sticks burning slowly as he placed a bunch of white lilies on it, trying hard not to face the portrait in front of him. He looked so cheerful there, with a small smile plastered on his face. As if he were saying,

Fuck you, my life's over you shits.

Not that he bothered much. He deserved an early ending, Ichi knew that. Just... not in the way no one expected it to be.

Sure, you can call Ichi harsh, but really, who wouldn't want their suffering to end fast? He knew for one thing that the person facing him right now would be happy enough to be watching them up from the heavens, smiling since his pain is over. Though in all honesty it ended up shifting the pain to him instead, Ichi didn't care. What he did care was the fact that his brother did so without a single hesitation, not caring about what the others would have felt by his loss.

Okay, so maybe he did care, with the note and all which he held in his hands after days of going missing in the forest. But it didn't count. Why, why couldn't he had told anyone? Even a passerby, for all things? Why'd he take the strong move and decided to take it on all alone? It was all so baffling for Ichi he stood and walked out of the altar room shaking with mixed emotions.

He noticed Oso and Choro outside, the older smoking a cigarette with his head down. He looked towards him, unsure of what to say. Their parents went home earlier, along with the younger two, hopefully able to spare them from the worst. With Jyushi only starting junior high and Totty in middle school, it was hard to let them understand the unevitable :

Karamatsu was gone. And he was never coming back.

Heya! So in this story, the sextuplets are exactly, welp, sextuplets, but I decided it would be better if they were of different ages. So, Oso is the working eldest, Choro is in college, Ichi is in his last year in senior high, Jyushi just entered junior high, and Totty is a middle schooler.
