Me and my grandmother always had a 'Grammy Jakey day' every single Saturday. We'd go shopping, getting Tim Horton French vanillas or McDonald's French fries. We would always have have the best time together
We would laugh and share hugs and do everything together. My gramma is my best friend and I couldn't thank her more for entering my life. I don't know what I'd do without having her
She was and still continues to be my biggest supporter in whatever I do and whatever I want to do. She loves me, as I love her
Grammy jakey days were invented for us to share a day for us to let everything go. No drama, just a fun day for us to do us.
First we'd drive from Lakefield, into Peterborough and go to Chapters. Where she'd always buy me a new edition of the smurfs comic books, (If they had any new ones)
Than we'd make our way over to Zellers. Yah, something most kids probably won't even know what it is. But we'd always go there, and get groceries of snacks, than after we left there it was to the mall we went! There we'd have lunch at McDonald's and just hangout. After our long day, we'd drive back to Lakefield and I'd run out to play with my friends. I Than was called in for dinner with my "brother from another mother, Carl." Which isn't my friend anymore. Which will come later in this book
We'd have macaroni and tomatoes every time I came. Yummy!
After that, Carl would go home and my gramma would take her and I to the "rent a movie" store, and we'd always get the same three movies. 'Hannah Montana', 'high school musical 2' and some old Winnie the Pooh movie that I forget the name to
All together, even though I'm 17. I still wish we had those days, just like we did when I was a little boy.
I miss my grandma, and what we use to do together.
