Dex's Destiny

The Side Character

Dex was in the back ground, he was a side character, for sooooo long, so long that he even questioned at times if his friends were on his side, if they really were friends... You see Dex was just a mere technopath, nothing like his friends. All of them had cool, rare talents, or they were apart of perfect families, heck one of them had 5 talents. So they usually just gave him tasks to do and then they would go on their adventures, all without him..........

                   ONE WEEK BEFORE FOXFIRE LEVEL TWO TERM 1

Dex rearranged the bottles on the laboratory's counter to make space for the new medicine they were trying to make, it had exploded before but now Dex knew it would work out. 

"Okay, Dex are you ready to try again" Kesler exclaimed, Dex nodded. Soon they had already begin to work on their potions and mixing that Dex almost missed the bell ringing on the front door of Slurps and Burps, signifying that someone had entered. But that didn't matter now, Kesler and Dex hovered over the beaker when a lady came walking into the back. Edaline. She was Dex's aunt, she looked almost exactly like his mother, the same turquoise eyes, and long wavy amber. But Edaline always looked tired, Dex hadn't seen her much because of her daughters tragic death. She was accompanied with a young girl, around Dex's age, with shoulder length blonde platinum hair. 

"Hi, um Kesler can you grab me the things on the list please, Elwin gave it to me this morni..."Edaline was interrupted by the loud stomping of the most wicked person on earth, Stina. 

"You, you wrecked everything!" Stina screamed, her mother following her. Her tall, slender body was lost in the flowing, red cloak she was wearing. 

"What is it now Vika" Kesler questioned looking quite annoyed. 

"You're son gave my daughter a balding syrup and now she is ruined!" Vika says. "I demand that you control your son and get me some Hairoids now you bad match!" Vika  demanded before she threw back Stina's hood off revealing her shiny bald head. The young girl beside Edaline looked shocked and confused, while Dex couldn't conceal his smile.

"Here it is on the second shelf in the third aisle of the cosmetics section and get out now!" Kesler informed pointing towards the door. Stina walked out of the store along with her evil mother. 

"Sorry, Edaline I will get your stuff." Kesler moved away form the laboratory to collect the stuff on Edaline's list. 

Dex noticed that the girl beside Edaline has brown eyes, fascinating. "Hi I'm Dex" he said nervously outstretching his hand toward the strange girl. 

"Hi Dex, I'm Sophie" she says with a sweet smile grabbing his hand.
