Okay so I did this for my English coursework - hope you like it ^o^

(Eerie introductory music)

As you make your way down the broken path (.) please be wary of protruding stones that may cause you to trip and fall. (4) Before entering my home (.) which is known to you as the Smurl Residence (.) you must first understand the devastating consequences, (.) that my family and I were unaware of, (.) when meddling with the supernatural. (1) Thirty-eight years ago, (.) in nineteen-seventy-four, (.) four evil entities resided within this very house. (1)(Sigh) It has long since been abandoned (.) due to the gruelling deaths of its four inhabitants; (1) myself included.

(2)

If you do not wish to begin the tour of the house (.) for whatever reason, (.) please retreat back up the path and stop this tape. (2) If otherwise, (.) carefully open the door and step inside.

(3)

Do not be alarmed if an overwhelming stench of blood and sulphur engulfs your senses (.) this smell has lingered for a number of years… (2) Notice the singed picture frames that hang limp on the walls, (.) capturing memories of my once happy family… (1) That’s me: (1) the girl in the middle frame. (Girl’s laughter) (2) (Sigh) I was twelve years old when my life was taken from me. (2) My body lay lifeless (.) in the spot just in front of you, (.) after being brutally attacked and finally murdered by one of the four evils. (1) No one was around to hear my screams, but if you listen intently (.) you may be able to hear the faint resonance of my cries. (3) My parents, (.) Jack and Janet Smurl, (.) came home after an outing with our neighbours, (.) the Merrywhither’s, (.) only to be welcomed by the scene of my mangled body (.) and smears of blood strewn around the hall. (1) Blood that never truly washed away.

(2)

As you walk through the hallway towards the stairs, you may be able to catch a glimpse of the soft tear stains on the wallpaper. (1) These tears tell stories of sorrow as I sat here and wept for hours in fear. (2) At the base of the stairwell, to the right, lies the entrance to another, (.) smaller hall (.) followed by the kitchen. (1) Slowly make your way through, (.) being sure not to breathe in the dust that you have just disturbed from its long slumber. (2) Before exiting the small hallway, (.) stop and imagine a happy family (sound of family eating and talking happily) eating a wonderfully prepared meal. (1) Let the smell of roast chicken waft up your nose… (2) Now enter.

(2)

Study the destruction left in the wake of the spirits. (1) Completely different to what you just imagined mere seconds ago, (.) isn’t it? (2) The table (.) once bearing polished china plates and silverware, topped with fresh food, (.) now lies sideways (1) and broken (.) amongst the endless debris of extirpated cupboards and chairs… (2) (Sigh) how swiftly life can be knocked around…

(3)

The next section we will enter is the living room. (1) This is just opposite the kitchen when you head out. (5) As you open the door, (.) please do not go past the police tape. (1) Almost three weeks after the hauntings began (.) a fire was started by an unknown arsonist in the cellar below this room. (1) The fire occurred while only my brother, (.) Lewis, (.) was home. (1) He was watching television when he noticed the smell and streams of black smoke seeping through the carpet edges. (.)The television began to go haywire and turned to static. (1) Panicked (.) he dialled nine-one-one (.) however by the time the fire brigade had arrived, the fire had mysteriously been extinguished (1) but Lewis lay charred on the ground, (Slight sob) dead… (2) My mother and father could never bring themselves to enter here after that happened (.) and so each speck of soot and dust remains, (.) covering everything in sight.

(3)

Turn back into the hallway and ascend up the stairs. (5) Please remember to respect our belongings and don’t touch anything as you tour the rest of the house; (.) the Master bedroom in particular.

(3)

You should now be at the top of the stairs and on the landing. (1) To your left is a corridor (.) and to your right is one slightly shorter. (1) Head left and enter the first room that you will see to your right. (4) Welcome to the Master bedroom (.) where my parents once slept. (1) Lived. (2) Died. (1) You will have, (.) by no doubt, (.) noticed the pair of nooses that now limply hang empty and frayed in the centre of the room. (2) After the death of their only children… (1) (Sigh) any parent would understand. (2) Straight in front of you is a wardrobe. (1) Observe its fine decorative carvings. (1) Walk closer if you need to, (.) but please, (.) refrain from touching it.

(3)

It is still unknown whether the demons still reside within this house, (.) as countless exorcisms by the Warrens were unsuccessful, (.) at least before I died. (1) However there were a few sceptical people that believed nothing existed at all, (.) and claimed that the electrical interference was to do with the location of the house (.) rather than the presence of demons.

(Quiet thumping sounding as though coming from the stairs and scratching - 3)

The Warrens believed that the gate way in which they entered, was this wardrobe. (1) Hence why there is a large padlock and chains wrapped around its handles. (.)  Turn (interference) ba-ck a-r- ound- (more interference) dow- s-tair—(static).
