Luna was sitting on the couch. She has medium length blond hair and brownish eyes. Her boyfriend Micheal, who has black-brown hair, was sitting next to her on his phone like always. Her oldest son Roy was at work. He worked hard to help with the rent. You would think that Micheal would help pay for the rent since he basically lived there. But he didn't. They were dating for 10 months and he did little for her. But her kids needed a father figure in their life.
Luna was working 2 jobs from Sunday to Friday. Micheal would only work on Sundays. Roy worked after school from 4 to 8. On Fridays, he would work from 3 to 8. Every Saturday though she would take her kids to a diner for dinner. Micheal would stay home because he is lazy.
Luna checked her phone. Roy shouldve been home 30 min. Today is Friday. She got her paycheck early that week so she was taking Roy and Rose to the Rainbow Diner where her best friend, Lisa, worked.
The front door shut. Rose ran in from her room. Rose has light red hair like her father. her eyes are the same brownish color as there mom. Roy walked in somewhat slowly. Roy has gray eyes and light brown hair. He knew he was adopted. He was glad that someone wanted him.
"Mom said she had a surprise for us when you got home," Rose said excitedly. Even for a girl who was made fun of and had no friends besides her older brother she had a positive outlook on life. She always found the good in people. If there was no good then she would still give them a chance. She knows when she couldn't be near someone and who to avoid.
"Yeah, well I have something I want to tell you, mom, and Micheal," Roy responded. He was always a happy child. He just needs to learn how to talk to people more. It's pretty damn hard to talk when he tenses up and his mind over exaggerates that there are hundreds of people around when there is only about five or six.
Rose sits next to Luna. Micheal stayed on his phone. "Put that away. Roy has something to tell us." she lightly hits his arm.
"Ya, ya. Don't tell me what to do you hag." Even though he was being rude he put his phone away.
"I... This is harder than I thought it would be." Roy said.
"It's ok. Take your time." Luna was always patient with her kids.
"Just spit it out I have a game to get back too, ya brat" Micheal, on the other hand, was not so patient.
"I'm gay."
"NO." Micheal stood up slamming his fist on the coffee table. "You are not allowed to be a stupid Fag!!"
"What am I then?" Luna stood up standing in front of Roy with Rose grabbing onto her shirt. "I'm gay."
"What, no your not. If you were you wouldn't be dating me!"
"Its called being bisexual, dumbass!"
"Don't call me a dumbass you whore!"
"Get out! I don't want someone like you around my kids!" Luna stomped her foot. "NOW!!"
"Those kids need a man in there life! You said so yourself!"
"I think I can do a better job at being a dad then you would be! NOW GET THE HELL OUT OF MY APARTMENT!! YOU WON'T DO ANYTHING FOR THIS FAMILY ANYWAY!!"
Roy and Rose flinch. Rose jumped back into Roys' arms. Luna almost never yells. After around 30 minutes Luna yelling at Micheal to leave while she was walking around grabbing all of his clothes and throwing them out the door.
Rose and Roy went into there room that they shared to get away. They were playing with superhero dolls when Luna walked in looking tired.
"Let's go to the diner. Ok kids." Luna looked back at the kids with a small smile. They smile back at her.
"Sure let's go," Rose put her Superman doll away and grabbed the Batman doll out of Roys' hand. "Can Batman and Superman come with us."
"Sure honey," Luna walked out with the kids following. The floor is so dirty that they don't take their shoes off. Luna grabbed her keys. "We're going to Lisa's Dinner."
"Mom, why don't we move over there and work with Lisa? I mean she always needs help there?" Roy asked his mom.
"That's a good idea. We can talk to Lisa about it and we're gonna have to start to save up. But it'll be worth it. Right Rose."
"Yes. Than Lisa can buy me another Bandana!"
"Yes, she can." Luna locks the front door.
"Hey mom, can I ask you a question?" Roy says
"Sure, what is it?" Luna looked at Roy.
"Can I dye my hair?"
"Sure sweetie. What color do you want it to be?"
"The rainbow."
Luna unlocks her car with a smile.
"Ok, Ill dye the ends of my hair rainbow too."
**Summer 8 months latter**
Lisa and Luna started a month after Luna broke up with Micheal.
Luna and the kids moved in with Lisa above the diner. The first floor is the diner. In the back is the stairs leading to the home. There are four rooms. One for Roy, one for Rose, one for Lisa and Luna, and a guest bedroom. Roy and Rose still play with Superman and Batman.
Now that both Lisa and Luna are running the diner, Roy doesn't need to work anymore. He can make friends. Hopefully. The high school is just down the block from where he lives. Roy has to walk Rose to the elementary school. which is two blocks in the same direction. He doesn't mind thou. He loves his little sister. If she is not happy then he's not happy. But he wants her to be able to make friends. Have fun. Go to movies.
Lisa is a long time friend of Luna. They grew up together. Now that they are dating they are both really happy. Luna always loved to bake. Now the can spread the gay with the Rainbow Diner.
Things are going well.
For now.
