I felt something different. I didn't know what it was- let alone who it was. I stopped dead in my tracks and glanced around, and could see no one but kids running around yelling in joy. It was a park after all. Maybe I was just being paranoid, or overthinking a few glances mothers gave. I walked through the small cluster of trees swaying in the wind, towards the town were my favourite sweet shop was. "Ah, Miss Emily!" A laugh and a smile could be heard as I walked along the white, stone pathway. "Hi, Mylo" I replied and smiled. He was a jolly, happy, Italian that owned the sweet store. It was nothing fancy, just something small and homey. "How are you?" He asked. "It's been a long time since I've seen you" I followed him into his store as I began to reply, "Yeah, I know. I'm sorry. Life got a little crazy for a minute" but I stopped. I had that same strange feeling grow, I felt as if someone was watching me. "Are you alright?" I heard a voice in my surroundings as I glanced behind me. Once I was sure I was okay, I turned to where the voice was coming from, and could see someone standing by one of the four counters.

He seemed familiar, like I'd seen him before. "Miss?" I shook my head slightly snapping out of my thoughts, and looking at him. "I.. think so" I replied. "You've been getting that feeling again haven't you?" I turned towards Mylo and could see the concern on his face as he was walking around behind the counters. "What feeling?" The mysterious man asked. "She's been feeling like someone's been watching her-" I cut Mylo off. "Can you not talk like I'm not here. Let alone with people that you don't know" I watched him sigh and nod a little. "Actually, I do know who this is" Mylo said with a grin upon his face. "This is Rio. He comes in every now and then to help me with the shop. Rio this is Emily. My niece" I exchanged looks with the man named Rio before he spoke up. "You should really tell someone about those feelings you have, they could be real" I just looked at him for a what seemed like a life time, before taking a step backwards and leaving.

I just stopped outside the store. I couldn't move. It was like I had frozen in my tracks. "Emily?" Mylo asked and frowned. I opened my mouth to speak but no words formed, "talk to me" I could hear him getting closer but I stopped him. "Please don't"
"Please, tell me he hasn't found you?" He asked in concern, which was shortly replaced with fear. I felt something wrap around me, around my waist, "You need to breathe," it was like a whole new source of warmth that invaded my body. I found myself gripping his hands slightly, as I continued to watch what had me so shaken. It was something that I'd felt before but I couldn't place where. I glanced up and could see 'he' wasn't there anymore, and I took that chance to do as he said. "Better" He said and smiled slightly. I glanced down and as I began to take my hands back, I ran the back of my hand against the palm of his. It baffled me as to why he would let me, but as I began to run my fingertips across his hand, and along his arm as I started to turn towards him. A slight cough broke the forming moment and as I looked up, to where it was coming from, I could see it was Mylo. "This isn't happening" He said and crossed his arms over his chest as he looked at Rio. "Not again"
