I was walking with my uncle, Mylo through a very busy park. Kids could be seen for what seemed like miles, their laughter was almost contagious. I had wrapped my grey fur jacket further around my body, as the sound of Mylo's voice broke my daze. "Are you alright?" He asked and frowned with a tone of concern. "I'm fine" I replied without looking over at him, but began to feel a little out of place as he pulled us both to a stop. "Do not lie to me Emily" I had finally turned my gaze towards him and smiled slightly. "He knows where I am" I admitted and sighed. "What?!" My uncle was the only person in my family that did, truly care about my safety- my upbringing. Some would say that he was the one who raised me, but for some reason it wasn't something that I could entirely remember. Anytime that I would question it, he would turn away from me or shut the conversation down. "That's not possible," Mylo continued and I watched him grow frustrated with himself, he roughly ran his hands through his salty brown hair. "how long has he known?" He had caught my gaze and had some sort of hope in his ocean blue eyes, that was quickly fading. "I'm not sure" I said and shrugged my shoulders, it wasn't a question I could answer honestly. For the last few days I had been receiving text messages, some that were threatening and some that were rather scary.
"That would explain why you've been on edge around people," It sounded more like a statement than a question, but I still didn't think it warranted a response. "that's the final straw, you're coming to stay with me- that way I can keep an eye on you" he continued but I had laughed a little. "What could you possibly do?" I asked to only receive a head shake in disappointment. "he isn't going to come for you, whilst you're around other people" my uncle had spoken in defence of his comment. "What are you going to do, throw sweets at him?" I questioned and could see the growing amusement in my uncles features, he had soon enough cracked a smile that was replaced by laughter. "Jane!" I could hear a faint woman call but I felt a heavy weight hit my legs in the process, I had glanced down and could see a small little girl with a smile on her face. How did she manage to stray from the climbing frames, and into the pathway? She had looked to have fallen down on her behind, but before she began to pull herself up she had picked up her stuffed teddy and apologised. "I'm so sorry" I had turned my attention to where another voice was coming from, and could see a red head standing before my uncle and I. "No need to apologise" I replied and smiled softly as the woman began to speak up again "She usually looks where she's going and never leaves the climbing frames" in defence of her daughter. "Honestly, it's okay. No harm done" I replied but felt the unsettlement to begin to grow once again. "I'm Elizabeth, but everyone calls me Beth and this is my sister Annie" I glanced behind and could see a shorter blonde woman behind, who seemed to be watching more children. I could feel a slight grip begin to form around my arm, it was a little strange to feel as my uncle isn't one to feel uncomfortable, or unsettled. "Emily, it's nice to meet you" I replied and smiled again softly. "We need to get back to the shop Emily"
"I'll see you around?" The woman known as Beth said and smiled before stepping back, and turning back to her family. "Why are you so unsettled?" I asked and turned to my uncle. "I- don't know," he replied in clearly a lie as he began to pull my along, like he was trying to get me away from something. "just stay away from her- them" he continued but I stopped and pulled my arm back, I had glanced back and could see Beth and her sister joined by a very angry man dressed in black. They were all sat on a green bench by some trees, but the sound of my uncles voice once again broke me from my daze of confusion. "Emily! Come, now"
