johnny then smirked, all ears on jaehyun. ❝oh?❞

❝but he's a vampire.❞

and in a quick second, the human's face fell. ❝oh.❞

the vampire, jaehyun, chuckled at his friend's suddenly change of mood. ❝too bad.❞

the nth century, where vampires do exist and live the same world as humans. in a lot of conditions but one tops all of them, both sides should not have anything to do with the other. meaning, a vampire should be with a vampire and a human with a human only. there's no rule of them not being friends, it's totally fine for vamps and humans to be good friends, but it's only that didn't want to get close to the other side.

lucky for this group of friends, jaehyun and yuta are vampires who wants to associate with both dumb human being that goes by the name of johnny and lucas. they also have their own side of friends but this is just different.

it feels like breaking a rule that isn't even a rule. what?

❝there are a lot of beautiful human beings.❞ lucas said, his eyes scanning the menu and planning to empty jaehyun's wallet since that vampire promised to treat them. ❝why not stay in your lane?❞

❝not being picky or anything,❞ johnny stared down at the menu and sighed. ❝humans are pretty boring.❞

yuta's ears twitched and placed the menu down just to give johnny a look. ❝humans are pretty, not boring.❞

jaehyun nudged the japanese. ❝you're just reffering to sicheng.❞ he said while eyeing a waiter that's taking an order from a table quite far from them.

❝what about that person you fucked during college?❞ lucas said so casually, finally finding a dish that caught his attention and actually finds it delicious from the picture.

remembering that time, johnny sighed and had his elbows propped down the table while placing his chin down to his palms. ❝i keep on wishing to meet that person again but it didn't happen. i don't remember how he looked like, except for his small figure, neither am i even sure if he's a human or a vampire. and what if he's married now?❞

❝break the rules.❞ yuta said, convincing johnny. ❝so that i'm not the only one.❞

sure, johnny is a rebel, but he actually isn't sure if he's going to break that rule. he wants to have a family, like lucas and jungwoo with their son and daughter, and having a vampire as his partner in life would risk everything. he doesn't keep in mind with rules but he once heard jaehyun educating yuta about having a half human and half vampire as a child. not only will the vampire be burned alive but the kid would stay in a dungeon and who knows what will happen inside a dungeon. johnny doesn't know what's going to happen to the humans but he can feel that it's not going to be something good.

❝by the way,❞ jaehyun stared at his wrist watch before looking up at lucas. ❝where's jungwoo?❞

❝picking jeffrey from school and yanna from the nursery.❞ lucas answered, calling a waiter. specifically, the waiter that yuta has been eyeing ever since.

❝isn't that supposed to be your job?❞ yuta tried to distract himself for him not to drool over that waiter that's getting nearer to them.

❝it's not my fault the kids hate me.❞ actually, no. the kids just favor jungwoo more but that doesn't mean they hate lucas. why on earth would they hate their father?

❝speaking of jobs.❞ johnny took hold of his glass of water and sipped it before giving them one priceless smile. ❝guess who just got fired.❞

even with the waiter arriving, they had their eyes widened at johnny's sudden news. ❝again!?❞

the giant then shrugged. ❝not my fault why i'm not good dealing with flowers.❞ but deep inside, he was also disappointed of himself. he can't last long with a job. and just when he thought he'd last long at this specific flower shop. ❝i'm finding another one right now.❞

jaehyun shook his head as he let yuta and lucas order while talks to johnny. well, only lucas spoke since yuta was busy eyeing the human waiter from top to bottom. ❝i have a friend that's in need of a babysitter.❞

johnny clapped his hands and mocked a smile, ❝yay, babies!❞

❝but it's a vampire.❞

❝oh.❞ but who he is johnny to turn down an offer just because he'll be working for vampires? ❝yay, a job!❞
