As she walks in, the class gazes in her direction. Her long, dark wavy hair shapes her round face, and compliments her ocean blue eyes. She apologizes for her late arrival, and walks over to her seat quickly but quietly. I look up from my book to find the girl giggling with one of her friends.
On my walk home, the sky is a cloudy grey. It almost looks like a down pour is soon to come. As I stroll down the block, I see the girl that had walked into class earlier. She is only a few feet in front of me. I speed up so that I'm next to her.
"Hello," I hear. As I turn to look in her direction, she is already looking at me. It's only a second that I get a look at those beautiful eyes, that I turn them away before they go elsewhere. My hands start to sweat. I get myself together and look at her again.
"Hello," manages to slip past my lips. "What's your name?" I ask. "Odette Keelin," she tells me. "And yours?" I hear right after that. "Conner Frost," I announce. "I really like the name Odette, by the way," I hear from my mouth. She giggles. "Why thank you, Conner. Frost reminds me of the winter. Winter is my favourite season."
She grins at me. I can't help but look back, my nervousness gone now. "Alright, well this is my stop," she says. Wow, time had really gone by fast. Had it really been ten minutes since I had started walking with her? "Oh okay. Well I'll see you tomorrow. Goodbye, Odette." "Goodbye, Conner," she gives me one last smile, before she walks up her driveway.
As I walk home, cold raindrops splash onto my jacket and face. I don't mind. There's only one thing on my mind.
