Splish Splash Sploosh goes the rain falling on the the roof.
"Come on! It just has to rain on the day Jade and I plan on going to the beach!" I moan lying on my loft bed clutching one of the floral pillows that adorn my bed. I stare at the pale blue ceiling of my room looking at the many glow in the dark star stickers that my eight year old brother insisted I should put there.
I turn and I gaze out my window into the gray and dreary sky as the rain plummets from the clouds.
Bring Bring Bring sounds my phone.
"Hello?" I say melancholily.
"Oh good! It's you I was worried that cause of this weather your brother stole you phone again so he could play his silly games!" Jade, my best friend, says.
"Nope. Just me. Plain old Brooke Willows. Not Aspen or anybody else," I utter climbing down the ladder and seating myself in my gray cushioned swivel chair.
"Ok. Do you still want to do something today? Like I go to your house or you come to mine and we do something?"
"Sure. Do you want to paint at my house? We would have to go to the art store to buy paint though..."
"Yes! I'm so tired of being inside and my sisters are being such a pain!" Jade laughs.
"Ok see you at 11:30 ish so we can grab lunch at the Moonlight Cafe and then buy the paint,"
"Yep. See you then!" Jade says hanging up.

I hop out of my chair and start rummaging through my mess of a closet. I finally pick out a pair of jean shorts, white cold shoulder with little green fern plants, coral pink flowers with the word 'Dream' in metallic gold, and a pair of white, gray, and pale blue sneakers. I slide off my gray T-shirt that says 'Girls Rule!' in bright vibrant pink and my black shorts with cute little rainbows here and there and toss them into my laundry basket. I pick up my outfit and get changed quickly.
I braid my bright auburn hair into a side braid. And quickly pop in gold hoop earrings.
"Jade! Over here!" I call.
Jade strolls over wearing a deep emerald green skirt, white flowing tank top, ankle height black boots, and gold dangle earrings with tiny little green gems hidden here and there.
"Thank you! You too! This place is amazing!" Jade states gazing at the dangling star lights above.
"I know!" I respond looking at the clear, levitating, moon tables that change stages of the moon with the actual moon in the night sky.
After a few minutes a waiter with bright platinum blond hair trots over to our table and says , "Hello my name is Jaiden and I will be your waiter. What would you like to eat today?"
"I would like a salad without tomatoes and some lemonade," Jade orders shutting her menu.
"I would like spaghetti without sauce and some lemonade too please," I order.
"Thank you." Jaiden says collecting our menus and walking away.

After a while our food arrives. Jade's salad looks delicious and the ice in her lemonade sparkles like bundles of tiny little stars. My pasta smells outstanding. I look closely at my glass of strawberry lemonade and realise that they ice cubes are shaped like tiny little stars..
"I just have to say this is probably the best salad I have ever tasted!" Jade exclaims munching on her salad.
"this lemonade is really good too. It's not like that fake pink lemonade stuff you get at the grocery store it's probably 100 times better than that super artificial stuff," I respond sipping at my cool drink.
After we finish our meals we head out to buy paint.
"What color paint should we get?" Jade questions swiping her jet black hair from in front of her jade green eyes.
"Whatever you want! Just not too to much," I respond making sure my navy blue umbrella is still covering both of us from the rain.
"Oh!" A distraught old lady says from under the awning of Mimi's Magical Pastries.
"Are you ok Ma'am?" Asks Jade strolling over to the lady.
"I was busy baking in my bakery and I didn't realise it was raining and I don't have an umbrella," She explains.
"Wait you own this bakery? Cause those pastries are delish!" I exclaim.
"I do. Thank you. I've been cooking ever since I was little," Mimi explains a warm smile spreading across her wrinkled face.
I look at Jade and she nods. We hand over the umbrella to Mimi.

"Bless your souls!" She says grabbing the umbrella.
As we walk toward the paint store a tingly feeling crawling up my spine.
"Did you feel that?" I question just before we enter the store.
"What? The tingly feeling cause if you meen that then yes." Jade replies looking at me.
I push open the door wiping my wet sneakers on the mat the smell of paint filling my nose.
"You girls are soaked!" Exclaims the lady behind the counter.
"It's okay! We're good!" Jade replies smiling and tucking a few strands of her wet hair behind her pale ears.
We walk through the store and pick out a lot of paint and other art supplies such as, watercolors, acrylics, glue, glitter, pencils, pens, and a lot more!
"Your room is amazing and massive!" Jade states flopping into in my gray cushion swivel chair gazing around my large room.
"Thanks! I still can't believe my mom let me decorate my room by myself!" I reply adjusting the sky blue, carnation pink, and white fairy lights in the area underneath my loft bed.
"Let's set up the painting easels," Jade speaks standing up.
We set up the easels, gather our supplies and start paining.
"What are you painting?" I ask Jade looking over at her canvas.
"I'm gonna paint one of my favorite quotes, 'Be a pineapple. Stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside'," she explains sketching out her idea.
