It was probably 10 minutes before either of us spoke. "I can wait all day if that's what you would like." He said to me. "Why the hell do you want to know? Huh? DID THOSE FUCKING DOCTORS SET YOU UP? DID THEY?DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT EVERY TIME I TELL THIS STORY IT MAKES MY LIFE A LIVING HELL?" At this point I was trying to get my way out of the chair I was strapped into. Suddenly three large security guards and two doctors storm into the room and inject something into my neck. My vision was blurred mere moments after they injected it, but before I lost consciousness the man was packing his briefcase and putting his coat back on unfazed by what he'd just witnessed. That's when I passed out.
When I awoke I was back in my room. In my straight jacket of course. Two large men guarded the door, I mean how could they trust me? To them I'm just another psychopathic patient they have to keep in this godforsaken place. When they noticed I was awake one of the large men whispered into a radio. A few minutes later three doctors came in, one was pushing a wheel chair. Damn, before this little stunt I had just been trusted enough to walk places. (With doctors and guards of course.) They strapped me into the wheelchair and we were on our way. After going in a few elevators and turning through halls, I was back in that interview room. In the chair across the table was Richard Brent.
I glared at him. I know he doesn't care, that he thinks that I'm crazy. Am I crazy? That's been a reoccuring question these days. After a while of silence he finally breaks it. "I'm not with any doctors. I'm not set up with researchers. I'm here out of my own curiosity, because I know what you're going through. The terror you've experienced, Ive lived it too. All you have to say is you don't believe me and I will leave this room and never bother you again. If you want closure I suggest you let me stay, but the decision is in your hands." The expression on my face stays as it was but I'm no longer looking him in the eye. "Go" I say to him in a raspy tone. "As you wish River. But if you do change your mind for whatever reason, say just say something." He packed his things, put his coat on and left the room. Moments after the doctors came back in and brought me back to my room.
