"Her body seems to be doing fine now so you could take her home" Doctor Nevio spoke as I lay on the bed along with Gustavo who stood beside me. As told, he had been sent by my Husband to come get me from the hospital.
When I inquired what was so important that Luca couldn't come get his wife who just had an issue of miscarriage, Gustavo couldn't offer any meaningful excuse but I left it at that knowing I was in no place to get upset as I was already in so much trouble for loosing the child.

"the sedative I gave should help with the pain, however I strongly advice against engaging in any strenuous act. Remember your uterus just went through something severe" I nodded in understanding

"if anything goes wrong or you feel any sudden sharp pain don't hesitate to inform me" he offered a professional smile to Gustavo and I before exiting the room.

Gustavo handed over a bag containing clean clothes for me to change into, I'm guessing Catherine probably had the bag packed. Murmuring a thank you to him, he made his way out the room to give me some privacy while I walked into the small bathroom to quickly change.

Walking out the hospital room dressed in a black halter neck mini gown, my hands instinctively moved to my belly which had somewhat reduced during my five days of being in the hospital. A sense of disappointment and pain washed over me, the life growing inside me a couple of days back had been snuffed out of me in a sorry excuse of a miscarriage. Gustavo took the bag from me, guiding me towards the exit of the hospital, taking a quick dash to the receptionist, he signed the required papers with the lady offering pitiful glances at intervals.

"sorry for your loss Mrs Savedra" she said as we were about leaving, not having words to say to her I gave a forced smile before moving along with Gustavo

"You should put these on" he handed over a pair of sunglasses and a scarf

"Why do I need these????"

"Uhm, I was just informed the press are outside mia regina" of course, it was so like the press to flock around anything news worthy.

Covering up with the items I took a few seconds to ready myself for what lay ahead of me. Gustavo held me to him as we walked out the glass door.

"Mrs Savedra why isn't your husband with you???"

"Is it true you lost your child???"

"How many months gone were you???"

"what was the cause of the miscarriage??"

"Are you and Mr Savedra going to try immediately for another child or waiting for a while???"

"How is your husband taking the incident??"

Numerous questions were bombarded at me as I walked through the crowd of paparazzi and press officials.
About twelve muscular men dressed in black suits stood blocking away the frenzy crowd who struggled to get answers from me, some trying to touch me while others tried boycotting the men in black to stand with me.

Amidst all these, I stayed glued to Gustavo's side till we reached a convoyed of three black SUV parked up front, the drivers already waiting in the seats.
He opened the door to the second SUV and I got in along with him and one other man in black. The others dispatched to their various cars and we drove off maintaining the order.

I placed my head on the window as the car drove in a peaceful silence. I closed my eyes, thinking back to the joy I had just lost. I wasn't even given the privilege of holding my baby, not even for a second. He was innocent and didn't deserve what happened, the worst part was I wasn't even told what had caused the miscarriage. A tear rolled down my eyes as I thought about all the baby things Luca and I had selected for the child. The child's nursery which was right next to our room had already been perfectly arranged with the baby monitor all set and ready waiting for the baby's arrival. Even the maternity kit was at easy reach but all those would be kept on hold for a while.
