Camila's POV:

I could hear the sound of the rain, as it hit the outside of my window. People normally sleep better whenever it rains, right? Yeah, well not me. You see, my mind is hung up on the green eyed beauty I call my best friend. It all started about 5 or six months ago, whenever we got stuck on top of the Ferris Wheel a the carnival.

Flashback:

"C'mon, Camz, open your eyes." Said the green eyed beauty.

I shook my head keeping my eyes closed. "Lolo, I can't.."

My breath hitched in my throat, and my heart-rate shot straight threw the roof at the feel of her hand taking mine.

"I'm here, and I won't let anything happen to you, okay?" her voice spoke in the calmest tone.

I nodded my head, but the reason I wasn't opening my eyes was not because I was scared of heights, but because of the fact that I'm afraid that if I look at Lauren for too long, then I'm going to fall under the spell of those beautiful emerald eyes of her, and if I do that then I'm going to give in and kiss her.. Well, attempt to kiss her- which will ruin our friendship, and I won't let that happen.

She bugged my arm gently "please, babe? I'll buy you some ice cream if you do!"

I chewed on my bottom lip as I felt my cheeks heat up from the nickname that slipped from her lips; slowly, I began to open my eyes. When I finally took in her beauty, and how the wind blew through her hair in a perfect manner, I zoned out until the sound of her phone ringing brought me out of my world.

"I'm sorry, Camz..I have to take this" She apologized, reaching for her phone.

I saw the name that was displayed on the screen, and my heart dropped into my stomach.

"Hi, baby!" She said in the most excited tone.

For the rest of the ride, I tuned everything out. She has my heart and she doesn't even know it..

Present Day: (Still Camila's POV)

I turned onto my side, facing the clock that read 3:54 am. Sighing, I pushed the covers off my body, then rolled out of the bed and onto my feet. I walked over to the balcony doors and opened them, letting in the smell of the fresh rain.

"Mila.." a voice said from behind me.

Turning my head to the side slightly, I saw Dinah walking towards me, rubbing her eyes.

"Dinah, what are you doing up? It's almost 4 in the morning!"

She walked over to me, and I could see the slight hint on concern in her brown eyes. "I could ask you the same thing, Mila, but I already know why you're up."

My mouth fell slightly agape as I looked at her daringly. "Why am I up then, Dinah Jane?"

Dinah stepped forward a bit more, placing her hand on my shoulder "Lauren."
