I will be republishing the revised chapters as they are completed. As well as publishing the final few chapters following the revisions.
This version has been edited to more accurately represent psychopathy in a patient with co-morbid psychotic disorder. Since a big controversy with this story has been the inaccuracy of how psychosis is represented, I've decided to rewrite the story in it's entirety to not perpetuate misinformation on already stigmatized disorders.
I began writing this story as a 15 year old highschool student. I am now a counseling and psychology major in college. I am using my own knowledge on such disorders and the rehab process to make this book as accurate as possible without severely changing the plot. However the disclaimer still stands.
This is a work of fiction. Some of the details in this story pertaining to the characteristics of mental illness and the specifics of the rehabilitation process may be altered, or dramatized for the purpose of the plot. Many events in this story may not be accurate in a real life setting. Reader discretion is advised.
