I wasn't allowed to speak. I wasn't allowed to see the route the car was taking. I was told if my eyes didn't stay shut on their own till we reached our destination, a bag would be placed over my head.

I did the only thing I knew that would pass the time and help me figure out exactly where we were going. I counted. The seconds turned to minutes, then hours. 3 hours and 45 minutes to be exact.

The car jerked to a stop. Finally. I needed to pee 30 minutes into the ride.

I assumed we had arrived so I squinted my eyes open, enough to see if the men were getting down. They had stopped at what looked like a security station.

"Greetings Gentlemen. Where are we coming from?" A scratchy male voice had asked.

"Greetings. We are back from retrieving the package. Alert Watkins of our arrival. Now let us through".

The security guard's face went pale. " Th- the package. You don't mean....".

"Yes. The runaway. NOW LET US THROUGH". I guess his raised voice did the trick because the guard reached back into his station and the gate started to creak open very slowly, as if it didn't open often.

The guard looked back into the car one last time, as if searching and his eyes widened when they landed on me.

He mouthed something at me and dropped his head as if he was disappointed in himself. I thought nothing of it. Because there was no way he said what I thought he said.

"You may now open your eyes and get out Ms. Violet". A deep voice had interrupted my thoughts. I had not even noticed that we stopped.

I hopped out the car with ease and took in my surroundings. We had arrived at what looked like an old, creepy boarding school. It had tall towers and wide windows but I could not see a soul walking inside. I stood frozen in my spot, having a horrible feeling about this place.

I need to get myself out of here.

I guess that was easier said than done. The building was surrounded by a forest that looked even darker and scarier. Trees that went on for days. And say I did walk that far and through all those trees, the beautiful gate with its security station was waiting for me at the end.

My stomach had started its bull again. Ever since I was little, when I was nervous my stomach would get intense butterflies and I would get diarrhea. I needed to get to a bathroom quick.

As we walked up the steps towards the front doors, I had a million thoughts running through my head.

Who was Watkins?
Why did they need to be alerted of my presence?
Can the men smell the gas I released?

But the most persistent one was the words of the security guard which I couldn't seem to forget.

"I'm so sorry."
