i enter the school buildings and look around to find my best friend.

jonah.

jonah is tall and has brown eyes and brown hair and he's a very cute kid but i have my eyes on someone else.

i see him by the locker so i walk over

"hi daniel you ready for tonight?' he asks me with a smile

"yeah just gotta finish asking everyone" i tell him

"who else are you asking? i'm your only friend" he says with a laugh

"jack, corbyn, and zach" i say softly

"daniel why....they don't like us" he tells me with a angry voice

"because" i reply back

"you have a crush on jack we know but he's popular and were not" jonah tells me which makes me mad

"well i want to just ask incase..." i say

he just nods

"i'll see you after class" i tell him and walk away

i walk out of my history class and head to the lunch room

i see jonah sitting at our table with his homework out not paying attention

i look around and i see the popular kid table

jack, corbyn, and zach all together

now or never i guess.

i walk over to the table fast before i change my mind

"uhm hi" i say interrupting the conversation

they all look at me

"hi daniel" jack says to me in a bored tone

corbyn and zach laugh quietly

i blush and look down

"do you three wanna come to my birthday party tonight? it's only me and jonah so i thought i would ask..." i trail off

zach and corbyn burst out laughing

"sorry kid we got better plans" zach tells me and corbyn highfives him

i blush and look down trying to hold in my tears

jack slaps zach

"plans being a project that we gotta finish otherwise we would come..." jack tells me and is looking at me all softly

"i can do it for you...and have it ready by the party" i say confidently

"really? you sure?" jack asks and smirks at zach and corbyn which i miss

"yes if you promise to come at 7 pm sharp it will be done!" i say with a cheerful voice

"deal" jack says and smiles at me

i smile back and turn away from the table and head to jonah

i sit down and i can't stop smiling

"so what happened?"jonah asked

"they're coming" i say proudly

"why?" he says quickly

"im doing their project" i shrug

"youre whipped for jack" jonah says with a sigh and gets up and leaves

i watch him go and then my eyes meet jack

he's looking at me

i smile

he smiles

i'm in love.
