I Do Not Have The Understanding

Starfires POV;

I huffed a sighed, where was everyone? There we going to be late for the dinner.

"Oh, hey, Star." Robin said in his normally peppy voice. I found his voice a bit annoying; and yet comforting. "Hello, Friend Robin!" I smiled widely. "Will you be eating the dinner with me?"

Robins face fell as he rested his hand on the back of his neck. "Oh well, I actually had plans with the guys..."

My heart cracked, "oh... That's okay." I nodded and turned to walk back to my room. Did no one want to spend any time with me?

"Star, wait!" I heard him call. I peered back at him over my shoulder. "Let's eat."

"You mean it?!" I shouted happily. He nodded, a small smile lighting his lips. I rushed at him and pulled him irk a tight hug. "You are of the greatest friends!" I held him close to me, regretting when I let go. My heart thudded loudly, and I hoped he couldn't hear it.

We sat down and ate dinner together. We laughed, and had a very good time. I was glad he decided to stay with me, I'm glad I didn't miss out on this night.

"Star..." He said softly. "I need to talk to you."

"About what?" I asked as I tossed out plates in the sink.

He let out a shaky breath. "I've had feelings for you... For a while now." He said slowly.

"Yes, I have the feelings of friendship for you too, Robin." I said happily, sitting down next to him and smiling at him.

He gave me a sad smile and set a hand on my knee. "I like you more then just friendship, StarFire..."

"I..." I was seriously confused. "I do not have the understanding." I admitted sadly. "Do you care to do the explaining?"

He chuckled, "I love you, Star..."

"You..." My hand set on my lips, "you have the love for me?"

"Yes. I have so much of the love for you." He whispered, "so much it hurts sometimes."

"Oh Robin." I said, taking his hand in mine. "I have the love for you, too."

His eyes widened as he gazed at me, slowly moving in and setting a gentle kiss to my lips.

I loved Robin.
