For the rest of the week, Sero and Jiro attempted to act normally - even better than normal so as to avoid any issue. Mr. Aizawa was seemingly fooled as was everyone else. Save Kirishima.
Jiro and Sero had been working on building the tracking device via Mr. Kaminari's instructions (which had proven difficult to conceal because no one in Class 1-A believed in knocking) and had concealed it well from everyone. Once again, everyone, save Kirishima.
They planned to head on out Saturday to find whoever was blackmailing him. First, they were going to visit Kaminari once more to see if he could warn them about anything.
They were in their room checking the device for what must have been the seventieth time when they were interrupted.
Kirishima stood outside the door waiting until he heard Sero and Jiro begin whispering. Then he grabbed the handle and threw the door open.
Sero and Jiro looked like criminals who had been caught in the act. They were sitting on Jiro's floor, the TV was blaring some horror movie. A GPS screen, ten wires, an iPad, a USB, and a few parts of a computer sat between them.
"Hey bro," Sero greeted sounding completely calm; but he was surprised and rather fearful.
Kirishima closed the door behind him. He walked over to the two of them and stood over them his arms crossed.
"Alright, what's going on," he demanded.
"Well see, Jiro and I are trying to hook up a new type of homemade system that'll let us - "Sero began sweating nervously - he wasn't too good at lying on the spot.
Kirishima sat down, grabbed the T.V remote, turned the volume down and looked at them expectantly.
"You guys snuck into Kaminari's room," he recalled. Both moved to argue, but he held his hand out for silence, "You told Mr. Aizawa that you were going out to find new music records for the school dance, but you bought train tickets."
"How did you - "Jiro began.
"I know Sero's phone's password, I know he leaves his phone on the counter, and he bought the tickets online," Kirishima answered. His face was a portrait of concern and betrayal. "What do you two trying to do?"
"Eijiro," Jiro began.
"Come on," Kirishima objected, "I lost Kaminari because I didn't step in when I thought something was up and I'm not losing you two for the same reason. What are you two doing?"
Jiro and Sero looked to each other and then back to Kirishima.
Sero took a deep breath and when he released it he began to explain it all.
All of it.
After the story was over, Kirishima looked down clearly upset.
"You're sure?" he asked.
"Pretty sure," Sero nodded.
"Once we get this hooked up, we can find who did this... hopefully," Jiro began.
"If they didn't throw their phone away," Sero sighed.
They sat in silence, Jiro and Sero looking nervously at Kirishima.
"This is..." Kirishima began, "This is crazy bro..."
"You believe us right?" Jiro asked.
"Well... " Kirishima began, "but this is... wow..."
"If we can get the guys who framed Kaminari and get him to admit it... we can get him out of there," Sero explained.
"Why don't... why don't we just tell Nezu... or Aizawa, or the police?" Kirishima asked.
