A Little Flame / Sirius Black

Prologue

"What do you mean?" Sirius Black asked horrified at the woman who seemed to slink away from him.

"I mean that I'm pregnant and it's yours" Ria managed to choke out.

Sirius felt a fury like nothing else. Was she trying to trap him into a marriage, he thought furiously.

He had wondered why she had thrown herself at him during the party at the Potters'. He knew her for years now, though never had much interaction. He had watched her over the years. She was Lily's friend and her dorm mate. He always had a thing for her. Once or twice when Prongs had gone off the tangent and babbled about his future with his Lily flower he had thought about the scenario of visiting them for get togethers with her. He had even once or twice thought that 'Little Miss Proper' was the sort of girl who would turn a house into a home.

She was a virgin until their night together. So the kid was probably his. No definitely his. She probably planned the whole thing. He had seen women like her, women like her in his family. He was never going to buy into her act.

So he knew what he was going to do.
" I'm not going have anything to do with it"

Ria felt stricken. She was starting to feel suffocated. Then her resolve melted to steel. Her conflicted emotions turned numb.

"I'll take care of it, no need for you to worry" she said with a surprisingly calm voice.

Sirius' features relaxed. '' That's right, get an abortion. I'll give you the money you need "

Ria could only stare at him, heart sinking. This was the guy she always had carried a torch for.

He had another thing coming if he thought she was going to get rid of her baby.

"You can take your money and shove it where the sun doesn't shine" she snapped.

Sirius looked affronted.

Collecting her dignity, Ria Patil swept out of the pub regally, looking every bit the daughter of the seagod.
