After a few months

"Da!" Theo squealed when he saw Sirius. Sirius grinned back, his heart ready to burst like every time he saw his son.

It's been a few months since he became a part of Theo's life and he was enjoying every second of it.

Ria smiled at him, looking up from where she was playing with their son.

"So, what's for lunch?" Sirius asked.

"Steak and mashed potatoes. Juice and mashed potatoes for Theo" Ria replied.

"I brought pastries, wine and a chicken salad from that restaurant near my place" Sirius said.

"Oh great. I'll start serving" Ria replied absently and took the stuff from him, transferring the baby into his father's arms.

Theo squealed with joy again. Sirius grinned and kissed his son.

"Say Ria, Harry's birthday is coming up. We're invited to the party. Can we arrange play dates after that? You know, start with the party to introduce them to each other and then continue from there?" Sirius asked while they were eating.

Theo hadn't met any of the marauders yet because Ria wanted him adjust to Sirius first. Sirius might have been one of the new people in his life otherwise.

"I guess it's okay. That way Theo can make a friend to invite to his party too" Ria replied.

"Great, what are we planning for his party?" Sirius asked enthusiastically.

"I dunno. A puppet show? He's going to be one, so it can't be too complex. And my fishes can play football and basketball and do stunts, so that?"

Sirius had absolutely no idea how she managed to get fishes that were trained like that for her aquarium, but he was absolutely gobsmacked the first time he saw them.

Ria just smirked when he asked her. Theo could just stare at the fishes all day long. But when they were playing, there wasn't a happier baby in the planet.

After lunch, Theo took a nap. Sirius opened the wine bottle and poured Ria a glass.

She happily curled upon the sofa while he threw his head back and relaxed.

The wine was really good. Ria sighed contently. Sirius had closed his eyes with his head rested against the cushions.

'He looks so handsome. So nice. I bet Theo's gonna break a lot of hearts when he gets older. Won't blame him for that. He's going to be real looker if he takes after his dad' Ria thought lazily drinking in the sight of her child's father, sprawled on her sofa.

The wine had lowered her inhibitions.

Without considering the results of her action she nudged over and kissed him.

Sirius' eyes flew open. 'This must be a dream. Oh bloody hell, it isn't!'

He deepened the kiss and pulled her into his lap. She broke the kiss and stared at him. He could see the uncertainty in her beautiful eyes.

"I love you" he told her simply. Because it was true. Seeing her with his son, getting to know her on a deeper level, and his dream of a family with her in it, everything had made him fall for her. He knew he was falling hard and fast and wasn't able to do a thing against it. Not that he wanted to do something against it in the first place.

Her eyes widened hearing his declaration.

He swiftly kissed her again. He scooped her up and walked to her bedroom. They weren't going to blame the wine for whatever that happened afterwards.
