Gabriel's POV

It was Sam and I's one year anniversary of our first ever date and I had no clue what to get him. I tried asking Cas for help, but he just suggested that I get Sam a book. It wasn't a terrible idea, but it does have it's problems. First of all, I don't know what book he would even want. Also we already have so many books in the bunker for him to nerd out about, why should I get him another one? Since Cas was no help, I tried asking Dean. The conversation went as follows:

"Do you have any ideas on what I should get Sam for our one year anniversary?" I asked.
Dean took a swig from his beer and said, "Maybe alcohol. I don't know man. He's your boyfriend not mine."
"Come on. You've known him for a lot longer than I have, Dean-o. Don't you have any other ideas?"
"Nope you're on your own for this one."

I had no ideas, no help, and I was running out of time. The basics were no goes. Sam was kind of a health nut so he wouldn't want chocolates. He also wouldn't want flowers because in the past he has talked about how he thinks that getting someone you love something that will die quickly is stupid. He's also not really a jewelry kind of guy.

I decided to go walk around the mall in an attempt to get some ideas. In my first hour and a half of wandering all I had was a nice yet very soft flannel. I'd talked to Sam about spicing up his wardrobe with anything other than flannel, but he had shot down all my ideas. He was happy with his flannels and he looked great in them so who was I to complain.

After another hour of wandering I was about to give up when I saw them out of the corner of my eye. As soon as I laid my eyes on them I knew that I had to get them for Sam. I had found a pair moose slippers and they had them in Sam's size.

We have lots of nicknames for each other, but one of my favorites to use is the name moose. It just seemed to fit him so well and he always laughed when I called him that so it stuck.

I snatched up the slippers and started walked to the cashier, but then I got an idea. I started walking down the rows of the store looking for plaid pajama pants. I had decided that my 'gift' to Sam was going to be a 'coupon' for a lazy day. I always tell Sam that he ought to relax more. He spends way too much time working and his work isn't exactly easy or relaxing, so a lazy day is exactly what he needs.

Once I finally found a pair of plaid pajama pants that matched the flannel that I had picked out earlier, I checked out. During my search for pants I came across a moose beanie. It was just so perfect that I had to include it in my gift. I also found a box that I could use to wrap the outfit. I then wrote a note that explained the gift. The note read as follows:

"Dear Moose,

You know that I love you dearly, so you know that I mean this in the most loving way possible. You need to chill out, Sam! I know that your work is important, but you need to take a break every once in awhile. For our anniversary I want to give you a 'lazy day'. You'll take a day off, wear the outfit that I've provided, and just relax while I cook, clean, and do anything else that you'd like. Dean and Cas can deal with anything 'work' related and we could watch a movie or something. Maybe I could attempt to give you a massage. The possibilities are endless. Just let me know when you'd like to have you lazy day the night before. Happy Anniversary, Sammy!

Love you so, so, so much,
Gabriel"

I wrapped everything up and texted Sam that I was on my way back. I was pretty proud of my gift, but it is nothing compared to what Sam had in store.
