Every drop of blood in my vein in my body became fire, burning me, threatening to kill me. It was hard to breath to even try to think. I needed water badly, my throat was hoarse and my body sweating. The front door of the house was open, the blinding light from the sun poured into our house.

"Consider it dear." My mothers dark figure along with the rest of the family, left smiling. A cool hand touched my arm, it's presence comforting. I turned towards Orion, his face was full of fear, he touched my body even though he hissed at the sensation.

"Leyah...Are you okay.." His voice was full of concern, horror, and hate. The heat of my body grew and grew until I realized why Orion had hissed.

He was burning from my touch. The fire in this room, the only light in the darkness was me. Every inch of me was on fire. I pushed Orion away, before he would get any burns. Each movement gave excruciating pains, even a twitch of my finger sent me screaming.

The pain was a constant sensation. It made me unable to think straight yet alone focus anywhere else other than the feeling going to my body. It felt like gasoline was being poured all over my body, then being lit up by a match over and over again.

The house suddenly feel too cramped, too quite. My body wasn't responding to my commands. I needed to even breathing to stabilize my now increasing heart rate. But I just couldn't I was angry, scared, hurt and even numb. I wanted to punch something, to do anything other than lay here. My emotions grew a balloon being filled with helium until it explodes. Mother sent away the servants out for a vacation before things escalated. A smart move in her part and I hated it.

I didn't want anyone to suffer from the pain I inflicted on myself, I should thank her for making them leave but she forgot someone. Orion. But I guess she didn't forget because I know her. She doesn't forget and I will never live long enough to witness that day.

"Don't." My voice was hoarse, I had been yelling long before this moment. "You'll get hurt. Just open the window." Orion opened his mouth trying to say something but closed it again. He nodded and ran towards windows opening them. I felt the cool breeze and knew he had opened every single window in the house.

The cool breeze soothed the constant pain running through my body. The pain started to become distant and bearable until a silent shock when thorough my spine. My body arched at the pain, my voice was so hoarse that a scream would not come out, only a little whimper. I thought my body had grown accustom to pain but this, this was different. Stronger, deadlier.

For a moment I thought mother did this, increased this throbbing in my body when Orion cursed and looked frantically at the book in his hands. He recited a spell to get rid of the pain not knowing the dire consequences. I watched his face, look at me with shock.

I could no longer speak, I didn't dare too. Through the mating bond we had, I spoke my words. Even there my voice was near silent.

Don't use magic, It just consumes it.

His eyes pleaded full of guilt to what he had done. I'm sorry, I thought I could remove the flame.

Every breath gave a sharp pain in my lungs. It's fine, It goes away with time. I took one look at his beautiful eyes and knew he did not believe me. He must have witnessed the whimpering and screaming before I fainted from the initial shock. It won't leave any physical damage on me but it will on you. Just leave for now, I'll keep burning for a while.
