The sky turned purple.

The leaves turned blue.

Thee girls groaned. "Not again!" They complained. But inwardly, their hearts were pounding, thrilled to see the weirdness seeping into their technicolor world. Life was just so boring, ya know?

Slowly but surely, the weirdness began to take over and sparkly giraffes in tutus twirled around them and sang Happy birthday. Moto moto sprang out and completed his ballet performance, which was out of sync with his music of choice, “africa”, which had somehow been translated so that it made zero sense, much like the rest of the world.

The girls once again found themselves changing form, except this time into wolves. The scene shifted abruptly and they were now racing across the plains along with the rest of the pack.

They spotted purple penguins crawling across the Savannah, running for their lives as they were chased by ginormous scorpions who were made of lettuce and cabbage. Fortunately for the penguins, giraffes appeared and began to eat the scorpions.

Lions started chasing the giraffes, but the giraffes threw cabbage again the lions until they ran away. Then zebras, gazelles and basically all the herbivores in existence came and had a lettuce party with tea and biscuits.

Before the girls could join the lettuce party, they changed forms again, their silvery soft paws slipping away from them, and their bodies appeared far smaller this time, taking the shape of... sea slugs.

They saw a young couple on the sand in front of them, a tall blonde girl with beautiful, intelligent grey eyes, and a handsome young man with raven-Black hair and sea-green eyes. The two were apparently on a ... date. The sea slugs gagged and turned away as the couple started kissing. They were still young girls at heart even if they now resembled cucumbers!

The sand vortex was a flurry of thousands of colors, beauty far beyond what the human mind could conceive, but here, as mere essence, as pure souls and hopeful wishes, the girls absorbed the beauty whole-heartedly.
Until they reappeared.... cube form.

They looked around them. Everything in this new world was square. No circles, or ovals, or triangles or any other shape in existence. Just squares. They walked around and saw a sign that read "Welcome to Minecraft."

One girl tilted her head sideways. "I don't know Minecraft."

The other gasped in horror. "How can you not know minecraft?! No matter. Let's make things explode."

"Can we build something first?" The first girl asked. Her friend nodded, and the two set about building a resort hotel with a pool, a zoo and a farm. When they were done, they headed to the nearest village and began laying out TNT on everything. First they covered the perimeter, then they filled in the rest of the space.

"3...2...1..." They lit the TNT and flew away as fast as possible.

🎵 So I set the world on fire, we burn brighter, than the suuuuuuuuun 🎶

The world went down in flames and the girls just had time to think Hello, weirdness my old friend  before everything went dark.

It was a comforting black, though. It was familiar, and the bliss of not having to do anything flowed through their bodies, and the warmth and peace and simplicity of it all seemed to transfix them. They wanted to lay there, in the cold yet warm smooth surface of the chilly water and stay there forever and ever, not a worry nor a care, simply floating, staring at the black black sky and just... existing.

Until one girl sat up straight, realizing the liquid on her body which, thankfully, was actually her own body.

She stared at the water and her surroundings, the cold, cold air and the soft colors, dancing, existing, just being there for her to see in the sky, all purple and orange and blue and pink shades and tones.

She looked down at the water beneath her, dark and blue yet purple, perfectly reflecting the gorgeous sky above them, and though she could see no bottom in the clear liquid, she did not sink down into the water’s chilling embrace. She waded out of the lake, and with a shiver traveling down her back, realized with crystal clarity exactly where she was.

“Vormir.”

“Vomit? I feel like it, but is that the only thing you could think of to say right now?” Her partner spoke up. A gentle smile worked its way into the girl’s faces, feeling foreign yet entirely welcome.

“We’re on Vormir. It’s a planet in outer space,” she explained, helping her friend out of the water. “It’s a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” she elaborated, her eyes not on her friend’s face, but rather on the tall mountain a few thousand meters away from them.

"In which case I am just going to follow you and hope we get to blow stuff up." The girl rolled her eyes, but refrained from more talking. It seemed that part of the beauty of the planet was the cold silence hanging in the air.

Her eyes were transfixed on the mountainside, where a figure seemed to be falling down—a long way down to the bottom of the cliff. Her friend gasped, but she had no outward reaction, apart from the small teardrop sliding down her cheek.

Before she could ask what the FLUFF had just happened, the two girls were transported away, and all that had born witness to the cruel and tragic fall was the stiff air and the one y’all figure hanging on the side of the cliff, tears streaming down his face as the sky brightened for one glorious moment.
