You throw your hands up

and casually say you give up

as you try to stand up

you give up all hope

since all you do is moap

and think of hanging yourself with a rope

everyone around throws their hands up in surrender

knowing that you'll never get better

you sit there waiting for hope

since you can't cope

you've lost all your pride

always running to hide

and to confide

you don't bother to choose a side

because you know you can't abide

knowing that on the inside you've died

you don't dare fight

due to your fright

Every morning you wake up with a dreadful sight

a.. premonition of the oncoming night

knowing your right

you decide to avoid the world hoping that it might change the night

You're a lost cause

you think as you pause

you recall all your flaws

you call in sick

saying that you're down with the flu , but everyone knows that something's up with you

its nothing new

DEPRESSION it's the thing that controls you

now there's nothing you can do

the sickness has taken over you

But you must fight through

for this is not you

you can't chase your dream

when all you do is scream

your invisible shield is now as soft as cream

you have to leave

after all what do you do other than grieve

it's so naive

you've forgetten everything you used to believe

now the night has come

your heart is beating like a drum

you're sweat makes you sticky as gum

the you think to yourself 'Am i really this dumb'

as the morning comes it leaves you feeling glum

your going to end up on the street as a bumb

if you dont stop this ......

you throw your hands up in the air and cassually say you give up
