"Robyn, care to read from this novel? I know it's your favourite."
Nobody knew why the teachers tried anymore, but they did...everyday. Everyday they tried to get Robyn to speak up and involve herself in the "hell hole" as most students called it. School. Anyway, back to the teacher asking Robyn to read.
Robyn just looked at the teacher, confusion and evident annoyance glinting in her green eyes, the colour a shade darker. The English teacher, Miss Taylor, just sighed and went back to reading in her usual loud but kind voice, her blue eyes glancing at Robyn every now and then, who just wrote. Robyn wrote a lot, it's what she wants to do when she's older and capable of getting a job and her own place. A writer. An author.
It was at lunch when she saw them, three new students sitting at a table in the far corner, all three pairs of eyes on the green eyed girl as she made her way to the pizza line, grabbing a can of Pepsi while taking quick sneaky looks at the new kids. But again, the three pairs of eyes were set on Robyn as they spoke in hushed whispers. "That's her." Is all Robyn heard when she got weirded out and sat on their table, looking at them with a questioning look in her sparkling eyes. "Hi, I'm Eva, this is Keegan and this is Anya, you're Robyn right?" Robyn nodded with a smile, getting a vibe from the three students in front of her. Eva was a caramel coloured girl with dark brown eyes and almost black hair that she kept in a messy bun, Anya was the opposite. She has bright blue eyes and light brown hair that curled widely, almost bouncing every time she moved her small body. Lastly, there's Keegan who's a strong looking boy with soft Hazel eyes and dark blonde hair, a warm smile gracing his lips. They all seemed nice enough but Robyn was wary of them, why they were speaking to her as if they've known her all their life. "We heard you don't speak, which sucks because how will you computer your element?" Anya asked the younger girl innocently, causing Keegan and Eva to give her a shocked and annoyed look. "Anya! She doesn't know yet!" Keegan squealed and Robyn raised her eyebrows, silently telling them to explain, the 16 year old read a lot of fantasy books so she would react calmly to something like this. "We have to tell her Keegan, Eva, we need her as soon as possible because we're getting weaker without her to complete the circle of elements." Anya explained quietly, loud enough for Robyn and the other two new kids but quiet enough so nobody else could hear her. Robyn sighed deeply, trying to let the new information sink into her mind while the three new friends watched with curiosity, aching to see her reaction. "I control Fire." Eva murmured gently, not wanting to scare Robyn away with the new information swarming in the younger girls head, Keegan looked around and leaned towards Robyn, who looked into his hazel eyes. "I'm Air." He grinned cutely and Anya rolled her eyes at the boy, running her fingers through her curls while smiling warmly at Robyn. "I control Water." She winked and Robyn laughed silently, but quickly stopped and realisation settled in. "Yep, you're Earth." Eva bit her lip, waiting for Robyn to freak out on them but she just chewed her own lip in deep thought, rethinking on how much she loves nature and resisting the voice in her head denying the news. "Follow us?" Keegan asked, keeping his tone light and friendly as it always is, his eyes sparkling while Robyn shrugged and nodded.
