SUMMARY :

A dream was something so easily hidden and veiled, yet it was something that everyone held onto. They never wanted to let it go, if they did what would happen to themselves. In their very own basic ways, what would happen to them if their dreams were suddenly shattered and torn apart. Loosing oneself within a dream was also just as easy with just the same consequences. But when placed together, the two caused quite a nasty storm.

ADDITIONAL NOTES :

— so, Iris used to be quite the optimist: always looking for something in life to smile at and to be quite fair she rubbed off on a lot of people

— that was until the accident however

— she was a S.H.I.E.L.D. geneticist, working for and directly with the Avengers to make sure they were okay and sound, but then one day a mishap happened in the lab and she woke up to her entire world being flipped upside down

— suddenly she had powers, the ability to bend the gravity around her, which she figured stemmed from the work with Gravitonium just four feet away from her station

— so, Fury sent her away to get help and figure out her powers so that at some point she could become an asset to the team that he had created

— because a girl like her had it all in his mind, the powers of an avenger, the mind of a genius, and the body of a princess: a triad of despair in the spy community

— but it all was too good to be true; the girl was far too sensitive to do that, her brain could barely handle the fact that she pushed someone because of her powers, let alone the thought of missions and fighting

— and when S.H.I.E.L.D. falls to HYDRA Iris is the first one Nat calls for help, because who else to call except the one person they knew for sure wasn't trying to kill them

— which led to her resurfacing and facing her fears, using the powers that she hated, the main piece of her anxiety that kept her locked away

— when she talks Steve takes notice to all of this and slowly they grow close because of it

— this is very slow burn, Steve and Iris both have things going on with themselves, but they need each other as support, someone to hold on to when they're in their darkest days

— Iris would be good friends with Bruce, actually Tony too, they've all known each other due to her last job but Bruce understands her situation a lot more than the others do in all honesty so cute and fluffy scenes between these bros? yeah

— also you bet your ass that Iris would be the first person to slap Fury for what he did to her, pushing her past her limit and almost forcing her to be an agent, she would be pissed and he would understand

— and hell, Steve may be a partial grandpa but that doesn't mean he's not hip and up to date with a few things and especially because of Iris who sits him down and makes him watch like forty million movies with her

— they'd be hella cute and fluffy; sure they've had ups and downs but in the end the two of them needed each other to become who they were (and not to mention to get Bucky back too!)
