Strange how pain and despair brings us together. Love both heals and breaks people. Animals too, you know. Like me and Leah. We were brought together from pain. When she was a pup, she was severely injured, and I got the chance to save her. Leah didn't trust any one for a long time. She still doesn't, but on the first day of having her, I was the only one she would go near, and I was the only one she let feed or give her water. I don't think she's from our world. I mean, she talks. Literally, her mouth moves like a human talking when she is talking. It's both weird and amazing at the same time. The first time she talked to me was when we met. It was like this:
"Help me! Please. I'm trapped in here and I'm hurt. Please help me, I can't move." Leah said at a pet shelter.
"Dad. Look at this one. I like her." I told daddy.
"She doesn't like many people. It took an entire week to get her. I tell you, that Shepard pup does not trust easy." Said one of the workers. He continued, "She seems to like your little one, Jonathan."
"You know me?" Asked dad.
"Of course I do. We were in high school together. Mrs Dameon's class. I'm Richard Haglington." Said the worker.
"Richard. I remember you now. How have you been?" Daddy said.
"Well, difficult. I'm a single parent now. My wife, died. But, other then that, I am doing well my friend." Richard replied.
"Has this Shepherd always been like this? She seems to be in an awful situation." Said dad, a little concerned.
"Since we got her, yes. She won't eat or drink anything. She had something in her mouth and stomach last time we Ex-Rayed her." Richard continued, "I'm worried about this little pup. I don't know what I should do."
"Come with me." Richard said.
We went quickly to the office.
"Boss! I found someone who has an idea to find the problem with that Shepherd pup!" Richard exclaimed.
"Richard, we've tried. There's no one who can help the pup. I'm sorry. I want to help her, but we can't.
"Sir, that pup is DYING! At least listen to her. Please." Richard said
I didn't know how close we were going to get, but I knew we were going to be friends. I could tell that she trusted me. I was only seven at the time. I don't know where everyone went that one day though. I came home and took a nap, then everyone was gone. The world is like how it is now.
