( Tejix Fueni's POV )

0600 hours, The Bridge

He sat, in the bridge. It was early, and they were cruising along the outskirts of Xurelian Borders, about to enter un-organized Neraavian space. He held the datapad in his hand, the little blue dot pinged as it moved through the map. He set aside the datapad, and lied back on the terminal that sat in the middle of the bridge. The lighter feminine voice, Ishara asked him: "Are you alright, Dr. Fueni?" He nodded quietly: "You can just call me Tejix, if you'd like, Ishara." She asked, in her usual monotonous voice: "Would you like me to call you Tejix?" He asked: "Do you want me to call me Tejix?" She seemed puzzled, as she paused for a few moments: "I do not have wishes, I am an artificial intelligence. Would you like me to call you Tejix?" He nodded quietly as she said: "Alright, Tejix."

He sat up, placed his hands on the edges and sighed as his body slumped forward a bit. He found himself quite sad, and told himself he couldn't figure out why. In reality, he knew why. Not only did he struggle with mental illness, but he was incredibly upset about his work on the Desti Ishara being cut short for an earlier launch than planned. He wanted to see his family, his aheni, eiriia and daavier! Yet, they were light-years away from him, on some old freighter hauling smelly old crates. He never really got angry, most emotions he felt came out as sadness or anxiety. He sat, lost in his own thought as the door opened from behind him with little attention given, as he hardly even heard it. Hmph, he did design the doors well, after all!

He felt a presence next to him as he looked over and Xeak sat next to him: "You alright, Tej....?" He quietly nodded as he glanced down, and Xeak lightly pushed him: "Don't look like you are, Tejix. Ishara told me to find you, in her own words you seemed 'emotionally distressed'." He slumped down even further, as the confrontation of his own feelings made him feel like he wanted to cry. He felt Xeak's arms wrap around him, as Xeak was clearly hesitant or otherwise uncomfortable. Tejix frowned, as he pushed away his urge to cry: "It's just....I miss my family. I've missed them since I got here....My Aheni, Eiriia and Daavier. I just...Everything seems to never go my way. I wanted at least 3 more months to finish what I had planned for the Desti Ishara, I was already anxious enough as it was. The first 5 months of 'construction' alone was dominated by my designing of Ishara, it took me forever to design such a complex artificial intelligence. Sure, I had some assistance but it was a lot to carry on my shoulders... And now we're launching 3 months earlier than planned...Nobody even warned me, you and Tisira just show up, then tell us to get what we need to get done, done.... Sure, they said I can continue my progress while we fly, but some of it would have us grounded for several hours..."

Xeak smiled quietly: "Desti Ishara, huh....? 'Star Warriors'?" Tejix glanced over with a sad look: "Yeah....Dea picked out the name, I just went with it, I guess... Goddess, I never even really....thought about the name." He patted Tejix's back, with a smile: "You're overthinking it, baardhi. It's a cool name, after all." Tejix cleared his throat, and sat up: "You're right....I'm going to check our comm array again, see if there's anything they need us for." Xeak smiled at him and stood up: "Don't work yourself to death, baardhi." Tejix glanced over his shoulder as Xeak exited the room, and he deeply exhaled: "Back to work..."

( Tisira Hanatus' POV )

0600 hours , Cabins ( Shortly after the first section )

She took a sharp inhale of breath as she jolted up from her previous nightmare, her hair askew in the disarrayed bun that sat on the side of her head. She looked at her clock; naptime was up. She sat up and hunched over on the side as she caught her breath, what a horrible dream. She supposed it came with being a navy veteran, as well as a hostage operative. But, she'd never had quite such a bad nightmare before. She heard a voice come from her arm holo-terminal: "Are you alright, Miss Hanatus?" She sighed, clearly annoyed to Ishara's 'eavesdropping': "Yes, as always, Ishara." She swiped the blue panel aside, and it closed as she muted Ishara's comm channel.
