I flopped over on the bed face to face with Beck. "Good morning beautiful" he said. I began to smile. Then I heard crying. "Your turn" he said. I rushed to my daughter Mae before I could even get some pants on. I picked up Mae. "Damn" I yelled. Beck rushed into the room. "What?" he asked shooken up. "She's burning up". He felt her head.
"I'll get the bag, go call your mom"
Phone call:
Me: mom Mae's hot with a fever like really hot.
Mom: okay what do you wanna do?
Me:we're going to the hospital can you meet us up there?
Mom: yes
Then she hung up. I put the baby's bag in the car and we rushed there.
Once we got there we were put in a room right away. The doctors tested Mae and gave her a CAT scan. About 30 mins later she was diagnosed with strep and was put on antibiotics. I walked out hand in hand with Beck he caught my eyes and smiled " I love you" he whispered. Now me and Beck weren't married. Just dating and he wasn't technically Maes father either but we had planed on him being her dad. Now we're a little fucked up. Here's how our family came to be.
