Delilah got out of her car with a loud grunt and headed inside her mother's house with the key she gave her. Most kids found their parents overprotectiveness annoying, not Delilah after all, her mom was all the family she had for nineteen years. "Ma! You busy?" Delilah said while walking through the hallway smiling at some photos of her younger self with her mom.

Cynthia came into the room " hey sweetie, didn't I tell you to use that key for emergencies" she said teasingly before softly sighing "todays the big day huh? My little girl is leaving me..." she said with a frown

"Ma I'm not leaving you forever just for four months, I know things didn't work out with you and Henry calling her dad by his first name because she wasn't comfortable enough calling him dad yet –but at least you got the chance to know him... I haven't even had that chance." Delilah said softly

Cynthia smiled sadly and hugged her little girl "promise me you'll be safe? And if that prick hurts you in any way you call me ill be down there to give him a piece of my mind"

Delilah laughed softly hugging her mom back "I promise no worries I'll call you and keep you updated. I love you! I really have to go now" She leaned down kissing her mom cheek softly waving at her as she exited the house.

Delilah gets in her car heading to her other best friend house Ian. He made a promise to drop her off at the airport Delilah pulls into his driveway honking the horn waiting for him to come out and grins seeing him run out his house panic plastered on his face "okay okay! I'm here geez don't make my neighbors hate me already I just moved in" Ian whined while Delilah just laughed

They already said their goodbyes the other night at some party they went to. Delilah and Ian switched seats quickly and headed to the airport where they hugged again saying goodbye "time for a new adventure I guess" Delilah mumbled quietly to herself

                             At Baltimore Airport

Delilah walked around dragging her luggage with her looking around before bumping into this man who looked to be around their late thirties "oh I'm sorry!" she said quickly helping the man to pick up his papers, before the man could even respond she noticed the photo on the ground of a family her eyes widened finally looking at the mans face "Henry?"
She asked

Henry gave her a half smile taking his papers gently from her along with his photo nodding his head softly he said "yes and your Delilah I assume...wow you look just like your mother" Henry cleared his throat "shall we get going? You're probably exhausted from the plane" he said while taking her luggage and walking to the exit

Delilah frowned all she could think about was the photo. She had so many questions why didn't he hug her? Isn't he happy to see her? but the main thing that bothered her the most was the fact that her dad has a new family and from that picture, the family looked so happy and complete where would she fit in?

Delilah shook her head trying not to think negative after all she just got here she quickly caught up to Henry following him to his car where he put her luggage in his car and waited for her to get in. She quickly got in buckling up.
