[Michelle's POV]

I walked along the way from school keeping my head low. I stared at the puddles of rain that shot back my reflection. I had many things on my mind-that social studie's test, saving up for a car, everything. I hadn't even thought of love, until one day in Autumn.

That was today, October 3rd. The leaves fell like rain as I walked from school back home. I hated the bus, so I walked 4 miles total school every day. At least I was a good runner when it came to being late.

A car whizzing by snapped me back into reality, drenching me in water caused by the tire treading through it at a million miles per hour. I stood their in disbelief, shuddering over the freezing water.

My eyes began to water quickly. I'm sick of having to walk for so long to get to where I need to go. This was the eleventh time I got soaked in rainwater this school year alone! I felt jealousy and anger watching spoiled rotten people not even caring about wrecking the car that they didn't even buy.

Another car's headlights caught my attention. I started to run. There was no way in hell that this could happen twice in one day. I won't let it. It began to pour, thundering. I tripped over a tree route and scraped my hands, arms, knees, and stomach. I couldn't move for a second, really losing my cool, which wasn't even metaphorically cool in the first place. I heard a car park nearby and a door opening and closing. Somebody ran over and picked me up, carrying me to his car. He placed me on the passengers side, and I wiped my eyes to see clearly. I look up to find a blonde boy, a bit older than I was, with a lip piercing and a coat, but under it I could see a Nirvana band tee. He was tall and toned, with all black, monochrome sneakers.

"Need a ride to school?" He asked me. I stared at him, not responding.

"Whatever. You can miss a day. I'm Luke."

"M-michelle. Where are you taking me?"

"My house. Or apartment. I saw that splash and fall. You aren't okay, are you?"

"No.." I sniffled, and wiped my eyes again. Embarassed that I about to burst into tears, I sucked it up and just stared at him while he focused on the road. He was handsome, and really sweet. And I was just a mess.

He parked in an aparment complex, and showed me to his apartment.

"Small, I know, but if you're as lonely as me, that's all you need."

"I can definitely relate to that." I responded.
