*On a Floating Ship somewhere near the cage*
INORI'S POV
Eleanor broke the silence, curiosity gleaming in her eyes. "So, where are we headed?"
I shrugged, adopting a somewhat casual tone. "Well, isn't it obvious? We're making our way to the Cage. This 'Doom' character suddenly showed up, claiming to be Yama's long-lost brother, just as the forbidden book foretold."
A voice from behind startled me. "How do you know that?" Alyssa's accusatory voice sent a shiver down my spine.
"Alyssa!" I muttered, trying to regain my composure. "Where were you?"
She wasn't about to let me change the topic. "Don't sidestep the issue," she snapped.
I sighed deeply. I couldn't escape this conversation. They deserved to know the truth after all they'd done for me. "I... I installed an observer in Yama's room," I confessed.
Eleanor's eyes widened in shock. "You did what?!"
Feeling small, I lowered my voice. "I wanted to uncover Yama's vulnerabilities, you know, after what happened 'that' time."
Eleanor sighed and walked away, clearly exasperated by my actions.
Hana, meanwhile, remained lost in her thoughts as she gazed out of the window. Eleanor was quick to notice. "Hana, are you okay?"
She blinked back to the present, her tone distant. "I'm fine. If the prophecy Garam Jahad spoke of is accurate, then my supposed 'lost older brother' will be here."
