"OHHH I just feel like this is my fault" I hear Val say, I was in a state of half sleeping and half awake. "No Val it wasn't your fault. She made this choice of her own free will." I heard Sam say, I imagined him patting Val's shoulder and standing close to her, I imagined Val huddling against Sam with tears in her eyes. They walked out. Where was I? Not the hospital, probably the hotel. I fully awoke to a teenager standing by my bedside. He looked like Sam, but not as kind looking. He had dark brown hair, and light blue eyes. His hair reminded me of my hair before I dyed it bright red, like fire. Oh and it was kind of hard NOT to notice the white angel wings on his back. "hmm why you? What was his reason to pick you?" he inspected me like a scientist. "Who are you" my voice was a shrill whisper. "I am the Arch Angel, Gabriel" his wings twitched a little. "Oh we must go" "If you think I'm going anywhere with you, you must be-" I didn't finish my sentence, because he picked me up, slung me over his back, and flew out the window. We soared, the city looked so small beneath us, I stuck out my arms and pretended to fly. "WHAT'S GOING ON" I shouted over the wind. "You have been chosen for a special purpose" as if that explained it all. We landed in the same garden I had seen, lush gardens, and that same tree, filled with color on one side and grey and black on the other side. "Where am I?" I stared around in wonder. "You don't recognize it? This is heaven" He lifted his face to the sky, the angels were playing some kind of racing game. "Oh Gabriel is this her?" another boy landed by him. He had light blond hair, so light it was almost white, he had coffee colored eyes and a silly grin. "Oh Raphael, this is- Oh I didn't ask your name" they both looked at me. "My name's Astrid" I say gingerly. "Well Astrid, we brought you here because we need to ask something big of you" he cocks his head sideways and grins "Will you be the new arch angel?" Gabriel and Raphael look at me. Archangel?! This had to be some kind of insane dream, I was NOT an angel. I hated sharing and being nice to people I hate! "Well you aren't an Archangel as soon as you say yes, You'll have to go through years of training" Raphael says to me. "I will" WHAT, I didn't say that but I couldn't correct myself. I didn't want to admit it to myself but deep inside I knew this was the right thing to do. Oh what have I gotten myself into.
