June Marshall straightened out her apron before picking up her orders of biscuits and gravy and breakfast hash. She smiled as she took them to Jeffery and Norman's normal booth. She smiled and laid the plate in front of them. She smiled and said," Biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon for Mr. Morgan and breakfast hash with over easy eggs for Mr. Reedus. Is there anything else I could get you boys?" Jeffrey shrugged as he looked to Norman and shook his head 'no' as he grabbed his fork. Jeffrey just chuckled as he said," No I think were good Ms. June." June smiled and nodded as she looked at their coffee cups. She quickly walked away and came back with the coffee pitcher. She topped off their cups and said," There we go, just holler if you need anything else." Jeffrey just nodded as she walked away. Jeffrey couldn't help let his eyes rake over her shapley body as she walked off to her other tables. Norman rolled his eyes and said," For the love of God just ask her out. You obviously like her just asked her out to coffee or a drink or something. Heck, I'll even watch Gus." Jeffrey just gave his friend a small smile as he dug into his breakfast, trying to gain some confidence before he asked her. He watched as June went behind the bar to answer the ringing phone. Her teal waitress dress hugging her curves just right and he loved how she wasn't afraid to show off her tattoos. He loved the small 'Mama Tried' tattoo on her wrist. He watched as she hung up the phone and wrote down an order on a ticket before placing it on the carousel. Norman waved a hand in front of Jeffrey's face and said," You're just one love sick puppy aren't ya'?" Jeffrey rolled his eyes as he flipped him off causing Norman to chuckle. Norman took a bite of his hash as June came over and laid their checks on the table before refilling their coffee. Jeffrey cleared his throat and said," I was wondering if you'd like to get a drink with me sometime?" June blushed as she set down the coffee pitcher and pulled out her order book. She wrote her number down and ripped it out. She handed it to him and said," I'd love to. Call me when you're free." June smiled before she quickly walked away. Norman collected his bill and gave Jeffrey a big smile.
June let out a dreamy sigh as she walked into her apartment to find her fourteen year old son, Wade, doing his homework at the kitchen table. She smiled as she walked over and placed a take out container in front of him. He opened it to find a giant portion of his favorite, chili cheese fries. He smiled and said,"Thanks, Mom!" He dug in as June untied her apron and laid it with her purse on the small kitchen island. She headed towards the bathroom and said," I'm expecting a phone call so if it rings and I'm not done cleaning up just answer it and holler at me." Wade gave her a thumbs up as she locked the bathroom door. She began stripping off her waitress dress and sighed as she looked in the mirror. Her hands fell on her flat stomach as she looked at the light pink stretch marks that covered her belly. June frowned as she quickly turned on the shower and hopped in. She washed away the diner smell of fryer oil from her hair as the hit water soothed the tension from her shoulders. She smiled as she thought of Jeffrey asking for a drink. She always thought Jeffrey was out of her league. She grabbed her grabbed a washcloth and began washing her body as a loud knock came through the door. She quickly rinsed off as Wade said," Mom! Phone for you!" She quickly turned off the water and hopped out of the shower. She wrapped a towel around herself as she opened the door. Wade closed his eyes as she took the phone. She shut the door back and said," Hello?"
Jeffrey couldn't help but smile as she answered the phone. He cleared his throat and said," Hello, Ms. June." June's legs almost turned to jelly as she heard Jeffrey's voice. She smiled as straightened her hair in the mirror as she said," Hi, Jeffrey. How are you?" Jeffrey chuckled as he nervously rubbed the back of his neck. He looked in the mirror at his Negan costume as he said," Much better now that I'm talking to you. I'm sorry sweetheart I don't much time. I have to go finish filming a scene but I was wondering if tomorrow night around seven would work for you?" June couldn't help but blush as he called her sweetheart. June cleared her throat and said," That sounds perfect. I live in the Mansion apartments. Apartment 10." Jeffrey said a quick goodbye as a PA began knocking on his trailer. He put his phone down with a smile before heading out to film.
