I slowly felt myself waking up from the pain, the sorrow, the anger. My soul and spirit were being pulled out of the blackness, the swarming hole that swallows me up. My memories are slowly returning to the void they were absent from.
My head reels back as a fist came out of nowhere. I see Tony hovering over me, fist ready to strike.
"Don't!" I shout, wincing in pain.
"Damn Bucky, you were screaming," Tony got up and brushed himself off. I sat up, stretching my muscles and observing the red mark forming on my left cheek. My brown hair was tousled and messy and my blue eyes alert for everything.
"W-What happened?" Kristina stammers, kneeling down in front of me. Her brown eyes full of worry, wasn't it only a little while ago everyone saw me as a monster?
"I know where HYDRA is," I spoke, standing up. They all looked at me, waiting for instructions. Each and every one of them, looking up to someone who's a monster. Was a monster. HYDRA's the real monster, for taking me away and putting everyone around me in pain.
"Does anyone have a plan?" Kristina questions as we all look at each other, waiting for someone to speak up. Suddenly, Brent raises his hand, and we all turn to look at him surprised.
"I think I have an idea, but if it doesn't work, then we're in trouble."
The rest of the day was spent working out the kinks and issues in the plan, hoping that it would stop the mutant and humanoid experimentations and maybe, possibly take down HYDRA once and for all.
First, we would board a plane to Germany, where their main HQ is. That was where we were now. Brent had created a magnetic disk that turned off the detector so I could get through the airport line unnoticed. Kristina was packing for both her and me, saying she didn't trust me to bring the right stuff. I didn't know if she was joking or not. Tony being Tony, expected us to do everything for him. It took a while, but we convinced him to do his own thing instead of act like a narcissistic jerk. His only response was that he was one.
"I'm all done packing, Brent's finished with the weapons, now the only thing we have to find is Tony," Kristina pulls her straight brown hair into a ponytail, glancing around for a sign of the billionaire. I hear a voice in another room and slowly inch towards it.
"Listen, Pepper, I'll be gone for a while. Don't worry about me, just know that if I don't come back, I love you and always will. Tell the Avengers that I died saving their lazy asses, ok? Bye, i-I'll miss you," Tony whispers through the phone. I lean against the door frame as he presses the cancel.
"Pepper seems pretty important," I remark, breaking an eerie silence that had filled the room. Tony jumps up, startled. He spins around and looks at me all wide-eyed.
"That was private."
"And starting now you're a soldier, nothing's private," I reply casually, crossing my arms. Tony sighs and runs a hand through his black hair, glaring at me.
"Pepper is my everything," he says in a daze like he's thinking of her right now.
"Then why aren't you with her?" I urge.
"I don't know, I really don't know," Tony mumbles, laughing a bit at the end. I give him a small smile.
"We don't know many things, do we?"
"Guess we're more alike than we thought?" Tony laughs, smirking. We end up both laughing. For the first time since I've meant him, Tony's opened up. I don't know if he's always sarcastic and sassy, or if that's just a defense he built up. All I know is for a stranger, I got somewhere.
We leave the house and head to the airport. The drive is quiet, nothing out of the ordinary. So is checking in. Soon we're boarding, and the atmosphere turns from calm to fearful. We're about to head to a HYDRA center with only the four of us and expect to win. Even with Kristina muttering words of wisdom and hope, Brent going over his calculations again, and me trying to assure myself, I can't shake myself of one feeling.
The feeling that no matter if we lose or win, one of us is either not coming back or being changed forever.

The plan will be sepearted into four parts, this is part one.

the second part will be the beginning steps of the plan.
