*Addison's POV*
"Addison...Addison! ADDISON!! GET DOWNSTAIRS RIGHT NOW!" Mom yelled.
"WHAT?!" I yelled.
"GIRL, DON'T USE THAT TONE WITH ME!" She yelled back.
"Okay I'm coming downstairs Mom."
"Are you all packed up for the move?" Mom asked.
"Yes, but I don't get why the military is making us move. I mean can't we just stay here? I love it here in San Diego." I whined.
"I know honey but it's your father's job so, we have to move where the military tells us." Mom exclaimed.
"But I don't even know what North Carolina is like, what if I don't make any new friends. I HAVE TO LEAVE ASHLEY AND YUMI! I've known them since kindergarten and you expect me to leave them behind? I can't do that." I cried.
I'm sorry Addie but your father has to do his job. On the bright side, the house we're moving into is much bigger than this one and this time, we are not living on the base!" Mom explained trying to cheer me up.
"Okay Mommy. I'm gonna go upstairs to make sure I have my clothes, shoes and most importantly, my phone and charger in my suitcase."
"Have fun." She said.
"Whatever, I mumbled under my breath."
*A COUPLE OF HOURS LATER*
"ADDIE, IT'S TIME TO GO!" Dad said.
"OK DAD, JUST LEMME TEXT ASHLEY AND YUMI REAL QUICK."I said back.

*Addison's POV*
After I got done texting Ashley and And Yumi, I completely made sure I had my hair products, electronics, tooth stuff, clothes, shoes, jewelry and makeup packed in my duffel bags and suitcases.
If you didn't know, I'm an African-American 14 year old girl born and raised in San Diego, California. I live with my Mom and Dad ( Shawn and Robert are also African-American) on a military base.
Unfortunately, we're moving to North Carolina because dad has a better job offer which means I have leave my BBFAE's (best besties forever and ever) Ashley and Yumi.
Ashley is 14, has blonde hair, green eyes, has freckles and is Caucasian. Yumi is 14 also. She has black hair, light brown eyes and she is Japanese. Haha I almost forgot about myself! I'm African-American or in other words I'm black.
I have grey eyes, curly hair that goes to half of my back. I have dimples on my cheeks, I'm five feet and two inches and I'm a eighth grader. I'm only looking forward to this move because I might meet the one and only Hayes Grier! I admit he's super cute and it would be awesome to meet him. Anyways let's get back to the story.
*Addison's POV*
I carried my bags into car and took a deep breath and one last look at my house with dignity. As soon as I got into the car, I took out my headphones and my phone to play my whole Playlist of amazing songs.
"NORTH CAROLINA HERE I COME!" I yelled.
"Quiet down Addison." Dad said.
"Sorry Daddy." I replied.
