Ryan groaned at the sunlight coming in through the curtains and hit his alarm off.

'Why do I get up so early?'

He tried sliding back under the covers but winced, remembering the head injury had got the previous day. He sat up and stretched , hissing again at another pain on his back before remembering the tattoo there.

'Is this really going to be worth it? I get to see Shane so... yes.'

He put his glasses on, got up and trudged to the shower, trying to focus at his reflection in the mirror. Was that really his reflection? He shrugged it off, took the wrapping off his tattoo and got in the shower, making sure the water wasn't boiling as it might irritate the staples and split in his head.

After a refreshing shower, treating his injuries and choosing something decent to wear, he went to the kitchen and made a cup of tea. As he set the cup down, his phone rang, making him jump. It was Shane.

"Oh hey Shane."
"Ryan? You sound a little off. You okay?"
"Huh? Oh yeah, just a sore throat."
"Alright... why didn't you answer any of my texts?"
"I forgot my password. You don't happen to know it, do you?"
"Oh. Well, it's 1825114"

Ryan wrote it down on a post-stick note.

"Thanks dude. Why is it so long?"
"Can't remember."
"Oh. Alright, thanks."
"You coming by the office later? We have to do the next episode of unsolved."
"Might be a bit late, but I'll see you there!"
"Okay bye!"

And just like that, Shane hung up. Ryan looked at his phone in confusion. Why did he have the overwhelming urge to say 'I love you' when they aren't even romantically involved. He shrugged it off, unlocked his phone and started googling himself to try and jog his memory.

After a small while of looking at posts, tweets and realising he needed to put contacts in, he leaned back into his chair, 'I mean, I know the head injury was bad, but THIS bad?' He looks at his hands with awe. 'I can't believe it honestly, I should of been back down by now, but I guess I'm here to stay for a bit longer.' He smiled. Ricky liked this, a lot.
