"The faint whispers echoed in my head... He would always say he would treasure and protect me. He said that no matter what happens he would always be there for me. Lies, everything that he said were lies. "

Chapter 2: Goodbye and Hello

It was a day before my departure to the U.S. I said my goodbye's to all my neighbors and relatives. Today was the final day at Korea. I still hated the fact that I had to go but it was for my mom so I'll do anything to make her happy, even if it means to give up my dream. I plodded towards my school, reminiscing all the memories I had here.

I arrived at school to find in my lockers filled with cards. It all love letters from my fans and there were more of it than usual. It's probably hard to believe but, I'm a pretty popular guy. I debuted my singing career when I was ten years old but only in small gigs. As I walked down the hallway people started whispering. It felt like they were gossiping about me but I ignored it and continued to walk.

The school bell rang and I went to my homeroom. As usual, I was the last one in their but as I came through the door, something felt different. All eyes were looking at me as , attentively. A bead of sweat trickled down my cheek; did i do something wrong?

My teacher looked at me sternly as he folded his arm and tapped his feet as if he were waiting for some confession. I figured that they found out about my departure to the U.S. No wonder there were larger amounts of letters in my locker before and why people looked at me weird. I darted my eyes toward Yuri. She just looked at me as if she couldn't care less about my situation. I had to relieve this problem before it gets out of hand.

"Um... well I have something to say to you guys." Everyone leaned forward and looked at me simultaneously, it was almost frightening. I gulped and announced my departure. "I'm leaving Korea to go to the States!" I squeezed my eyes waiting for some kind of reaction but it was utter silence. I opened my left eye to see why it was so quiet.

"Um... guys?" Everyone was so still and quiet you could hear the bead of my sweat drop. Then a sudden uproar bursted out, it was deafening. The truth spread throughout the school like a wildfire. Correction, I am the most popular guy at school. Even the school faculty were going crazy. You could here people scream, "The worlds coming to an end!" or "What's the meaning of life!?" I know this sounds greatly exaggerated but it was the truth. I said goodbyes to all my classmates and teachers. It was all very dramatic but amusing.

Yuri was probably the only one calm. She looked rather dismal when she's usually very energetic. I guess the news was too much of a shock for her. I still remembered 2 days ago... Yuri was crying and couldn't do anything about it. I gathered my courage and went up to her.

"Yuri about yesterday I-" Yuri stood up from her desk and sighed. She looked at me fiercely and slapped me across my face. It hurt a lot but coming from a black belt who knows how to kick and punch, this was probably a message to me. She smiled at me very cutely but with a killer intent. "That felt so much better!" Yuri just walked away liked nothing happened. The girls were screaming at Yuri for hitting me but I realized it was nothing more than a gesture of goodbye.

Thank You Yuri, I really needed that.

I brought packed up my luggage and was all set and ready to go.

"Oppa, it time to go!"

I looked back at my room once more. I'm leaving to another place to live in. Before I left I saw a portrait at the corner of my desk, I guess I'd forgotten it. It was a picture of all my friends and relatives. Yuri and my dad was in the picture also. I smiled but only briefly. I took the portrait and laid it down on my desk.
