Chapter 14: The Stray

(Y/N's pov)

It was a Friday afternoon and classes were done for the weekend. So Team RWBY decided to go to Vale and asked me to tag along.

Ruby: I'm glad that you were able to join us (Y/N).

(Y/N): It's no problem. I needed to get some fresh air anyway. I had spend way too much time in my office.

We all noticed that the city was being decorated for a special occasion while the old shop keep was putting up a sign that said " Welcome to Vale!". I also noticed that Weiss had a big smile on her face. Like a kid in a candy store.

Weiss: The Vytal Festival! Oh this is absolutely wonderful! 

Ruby: I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much Weiss. It's kinda weirding me out... 

Weiss: How could you 'not' smile? A festival dedicated to the cultures of the world! There will be dances, parades, a tournament! Oh the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breath taking.  

Yang: *sighs* You really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring. 

Weiss: Quiet you!

(Y/N): I don't know Yang. The way that Weiss described it made it sound like fun. 

Yang: Yeah, remind me again why were spending our Friday afternoon visiting the stupid docks?  *We hear a boat blow it's horn was we made it to the front of the docks seeing boats pull into the dock.*

Ruby: Ugh, they smell like fish.

(Y/N): Oh really? I wonder what gave that away. Maybe the fact that we're right by the ocean?

Weiss: I've heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And as a representative of Beacon I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine Kingdom. 

(Y/N): I feel like there is a catch to this gesture.

Weiss: No there isn't.

Blake: She wants to spy on them so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament.

Weiss: Ah! You can't prove that!

Ruby: Woah! 

This caught our attention and we the. Look towards the same direction that Ruby was looking at. It was a crime scene. With broken windows and areas blocked off with yellow tape. It was another Dust Store robbery. We walk to the scene to see what happened.

Ruby: What happened here?

There were two men wearing suits and ties and they were investing the crime. One of them heard Ruby's question and answered her.

Detective 1: Robbery. Second Dust  to be hit this week. This place is turning into a jungle. 

Yang: *scoughs* That's terrible.

(Y/N): (Torchwick is still at it with the Dust robberies? Now I kinda wish Dad never removed me from my previous assignment.) 

Detective 2: They left all the money again.

Ruby: Huh? 

Detective 1: Yeah, just doesn't make a lick'o sense. Who needs that much dust? 

Detective 2: I dunno, ya know what I mean?

Detective 1: You thinking the uh, White Fang? 

Detective 2: Ya I'm thinking we don't get paid enough.
