I waddled through the door of our house. It hadn't been long but i missed my own bed. I needed to sit down so i wandered into the living room and sank into the sofa. I couldn't carry anything in from the car because i was in alot of pain. My legs felt weak, my hips ached.
"Welcome to your new home." I heard Woojin say in a cheery voice. He appeared at the door, smiling at me. His arms cradling our bundle of joy; our new born baby girl.
"There's Mama." He tilted her to face me and i waved even though her eyes were closed.
"She's so calm with you." I told him. "Why isn't she like that with me?" I asked.
"She will be. She's just making up the 9 months she has spent with you." He smiled. "You look tired sweetheart, try and sleep." I nodded my head.
"Can you help me get upstairs?" I asked, slowly getting up. Everything hurt.
"Of course." He rushed to my side, holding the un-named baby in one arm. I won't lie, it gave me massive anxiety. He supported my back by hooking his arm around me.
When we eventually got to the bed, the baby started crying.
"Time for feeding?" Woojin suggested. I nodded and told him where her bottle was and how to warm it properly. We didn't want to breastfeed her because it could be difficult to get her to stop in the future.
I held the baby gently, waiting for Woojin to return with her milk. However, I accidentally fell asleep within minutes. The last thing i felt was a kiss to my head and him picking up our little girl.
"Say n'night Mama." He whispered to her.
