chapter twenty-five

Rye's POV

I watch as Andy walks out of the bathroom. He looks paler than he did a minute ago. I stood up straight and saw him fall to the floor. I quickly push passed Mikey and we both run up to him.
Rye: Andy!' I scream as I watch his eyes close shut. No no no! This can't be happening! I quickly pick him up in my arms.
Mikey: let me take him....' Mikey tells me and holds out his arms.
Rye: you go get help!' I yells angrily. I feel tears fill my eyes and I quickly walk to the bathroom tears flowing my cheeks as I place him on the cold tile floor.
Rye: I'm sorry baby... Please be okay...' I whisper as I stand and go get a wet paper towel. I walk around him and sit right next to him and pull his head onto my lap as I dab the wet paper towel on his face. He was burning up so I used cold water. A few minutes later Mikey comes back in with Principal Dreelan.
Dreelan: Rye can you bring him to my office? This isn't the first time this has happened.' He asks calmly as I sit there crying and holding my baby tightly. I nod and stand up carefully then bend down and pick up the love of my life bridal style. Principal Dreelan steps out of the way and Mikey had the door open. I take a deep breath and start to walk to his office. So many people were in the hallway and they were all staring. I then walk passed Brook and Jack and they start to freak out.
Jack: what the hell happened?' He asked as I walked passed.
Rye: he passed out...' I say without stopping. I look down at the boy in my arms and another tears escaped from my eye for the whole world to see. I could hear students talking but I didn't care.
Random student #1: does Ryan Beaumont have a heart?' I hear one person ask.
Random student #2: are they actually friends?' I hear another person ask. I just put my head down and finally make it to the principles office. We go inside and I place him down on the couch.
Dreelan: thank you Mr. Beaumont I'll take it from here.' He tells me but I don't move. I just stare at down at Andy.
Dreelan: Ryan...'
Rye: can I stay with him?' I ask tears still sliding down my face as I turn to look at him. A look of sympathy grow across his face and he smiles weakly.
Dreelan: of course you can stay with your boyfriend... I'll be at my desk if you need me. ' He says softly and understanding. He walked to his desk and sat down.He was the only person besides Mikey, Brook and Jack that knew me and Andy were together. He planned for us to get together. I just know it. He assigned us together as partners in a bullying project and then once he saw us kiss he knew we we're happy. He told us not to work on the assignment anymore because it finished itself.
Rye: Mr. Dreelan?...' I said breaking the awkward silence. He looked up at me and I just stare at him for a few seconds.
Rye: thank you...'
Dreelan: for what?' He asked kindly.
Rye: for pushing me and Andy together...' I explain and then take Andy's hand to hold it in mine.
Dreelan: you're very welcome.' He smiles and then goes back to working on papers. I turn back to my boy and watch his nose start to crinkle and I sit up straight. Andy's slowly opens his eyes and looks up at me. He tries to sit up but just groans in pain.
Rye: take it easy love!' I tell him and help him sit up.
Dreelan: I'm glad you ok Mr. Fowler.' Principal Dreelan tells Andy and he looks up at him.
Andy: thank you sir. Was it bad?' He asked.
Dreelan: not as bad as before...' He reassured him.
Rye: what do you mean before?' I asked confused.
Andy: I tend to pass out due to high stress and anxiety...' Andy says softly. I can't help to feel as if it's my fault. I feel a hand grab onto mine and I look into Andy's eyes.
Andy: its not your fault....' He tells me knowing how my brain is working at the moment. I give him a very weak smile and rub my thumb over his knuckle.
Dreelan: boys, school will be over soon so why don't you just head home and I'll inform the workers in the front office of what happened.
Rye: thank you sir. Now let's get you home and to bed.' I say standing up and reach out to help Andy stand place my hand on his side to help him balance. I put his arm around me and we walk to the door. Mr. Dreelan was already up out of his seat and holding his door open for us to leave. We walk down the hall and people watch as we pass them.
Random student: I ship it!' I hear a girl scream and I just look over at Andy and he's just smiling.
Andy: I do too!' He shouts back and I playfully roll my eyes as we continue to walk down the hallway the the front doors.

***time skip***

Andy's pov

We were in the car and I remembered Rye has to watch the twins today.
Andy: I wanna watch the boys with you.' I say breaking the peaceful silence in the car.
Rye: you need to rest love.' He tells me and places a hand in my thigh.
Andy: please!' I begged as he stopped at a red light. He turned over and looked at me and I tried to give him a very pitiful look.
Rye: fine!' He said giving in and gently kissed my cheek. The light turned green and he starts to drive once more. His hand still rests on my thigh and I could tell by his facial expression that he's worried about me.
Andy: I'm ok rye...' I reassure him and put my hand on his. He doesn't respond, all he does is just turn his hand over to grasp mine and he holds it tightly.
